Me, I'd be sending all the humanitarian aid I could, not more fighting. I've already given a couple hundred bucks to the Red Cross/Crescent relief effort, and I'll be giving the Christmas and birthday money I get to the same cause. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to also pitch in what they can . I can't stand to see the pointless suffering and killing of fellow human beings.
The trouble is that our leaders don't invade anywhere. They send the young and expendable to do that.

Syria is too complicated a situation for even unilateral military intervention to solve. Well, it is now, at least. Assad's friends in Russia and China made sure that the U.N would have its hands tied back when it could have mattered.
ISIS was born out of america fumbling around in the middle east like a bull in a china shop.
Why do you think stomping back in there and flailing your arms around is going to improve matters?
ISIS must be defeated yes, but I don't think the west CAN be the ones to do it.

There are already seven or more groups fighting and taking each other out in Syria. One more would just complicate matters even more.
I'm a monthly payer to the Red Cross and to Doctors Without Borders, and I'm a taxpaying member of the Swedish Church which does much good among the poor and needy in Sweden and elsewhere. When it's Fathers' or Mothers' Day, I buy rescue packages from UNHCR, the Red Cross or some other relief organization, in mom's and dad's name. Last Christmas, the adults in the family bought different rescue packages to each other. Hubby and me got about 10 gift certificates and the other four families got about as many as well. When you have what you need and what you want (well, some of it) and it becomes more of a chore than a pleasure to write a wish-list, helping people in need with the money is a much saner option.
