["I have trouble supporting people who have girly-man hair styles." "What is a "girly-man" hairstyle?"]
A "girly-man" hairstyle is a guy with long hair, which the Bible says is wrong.

Katyanne, you've just exposed yourself as someone who makes up Bible passages to support her view without even consulting the book to see if they're actually present in it.
As a funny side note, the Bible says quite clearly that cutting your hair, or at least your beard, is wrong.
Good show.
Folks, she must have been thinking of the following:
I Cor. 11:14: Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
Nonetheless, since men's head hair doesn't stop growing after an inch or so, this is yet another example of miscommunication between the Divine Lawgiver and the Intelligent Designer.
Well, so much for Rennaissance depictions of JC. Clearly, True Christians only have pictures of JC with short hair. Waddya mean, you've never seen a picture like that?
Well, while it is true that as a Semite man, Jesus would not have worn his hair long, I guess Sampson was a fruit then, eh?
"And she made a vow, saying, 'O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant's misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.'"
That's Hannah describing Samuel, one of God's greatest prophets, and the Judge who chose the bloodline of kings that eventually led to Jesus.
Do you people even know your Bible at teens-4? In Leviticus(very close to one of your anti-homosexual verses that you always quote) it says cutting the hair around the temples is an abomination to the Lord. Randy must be the worst ever at cherry-picking around verses that don't fit his agenda, then claiming to be a Bible literalist. PS Jesus would definitely have had long hair as a Jew in 1st century Israel, to have had short hair(like Saul)would have been to be considered a Roman toadie.
Who knows if Jesus had long hair? I do know, however, that anyone who was subject to the Nazirite vows would have had to have long (though not necessarily unkempt) hair, and yet only amongst the most extreme fundamentalists (i.e. cultists) would you find men with ponytails down to their waist. Most would be too image-conscious.
For one thing, hair was mostly a good thing in the bible. Shaved heads were a humiliation, even shaved beards. So back it up or shut up.
And lastly, this long-hair says "Fuck-You!" This "girly-man" would ruin you for all other men given the chance. I'd part you like the Red Sea.
I know there's one about praying and prophesying with one's head covered for dudes, and without one's head covered for women (1 Cor 11), but as for general long hair condemnation, Verse or GTFO.
Yet, the pictures of Jesus always show him with hair past his shoulders.
Oh, the irony! It burns!
back during my college days, a looney traveling preacher made the same point katyanne did. When asked why all the paintings showed Jesus with long hair, his response was "paintings by homosexual artists."
No, really.
Um, er, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all the depictions of Jesus have "girly-man" hair styles?
Wha? I thought they weren't supposed to CUT their hair....
Bwahahahaha! So whose Savior is a girly-man? Oh, katyanne, you've been saved by a girly-man. Must've been reading that version of the Bibble translated from the "original" German by Da Governator. For shame.
When I see this, I immediately think about the fact that a lot of the long-haired guys I've known in this day and age (now that it's not really that popular for younger men) are big burly Scots who throw telephone poles and large rocks for fun.
The verse that they get this from is, unfortunately, another example of why modern conservative Christianity isn't Christ-worship, it's Paul-worship. Jesus, shockingly, did not consider homosexuality, gender roles or haircuts important enough to talk about. Paul, who never met him, created rules at great length about these things on the authority of... a vision, but a vision which does not in fact say anything about him being allowed to make all the rules for Christians now.
And somehow, that seems to strike none of these people as the tiniest bit odd, because it's in the Bible so it must be true and right.
Yes, the Bible definitely says that long hair is wrong. The immorality of men having long hair is, like, a really prominent part of the biblical story of Samson.
No, seriously though, it's pretty sad when atheists seem to know more about what's stated in the Bible than christians do.
"a guy with long hair"
But, ... but, ...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
So, you're all for the theory that this is what Jesus looked like, katy?

Personally, I have more trouble supporting people with stupid ideas, than with stupid hair-styles...
Confused?
