Apparently "America" didn't want to boot Obama out as badly as Fox News-watching conservatives think it did. The main problem is that most conservatives seem to think that everyone agrees with them since they surround themselves with conservative talk radio, Fox News, and refuse to listen to other viewpoints. So that's probably why they were honestly surprised and shocked to learn their candidate lost, and can't understand why Obama got reelected when they hear how rotten and evil he is on their "news" sources every day.
But sheer irony of calling it a crushing defeat in light of all the depressed, shell-shocked, and butthurt conservatives walking around since Tuesday mumbling to themselves, "What happened to my Romney? He was going to save us from that nigger."

I think you are on to something here. Did you see Bill O’Reilly after the election? His explanation was that obviously Obama only won because the “minorities” voted for him and they are outnumbering the “white” Americans now. It is as if it is impossible for him to accept that there could be white male Americans like him that would vote for Obama.
That is quite a divorce from reality.

I will make a prediction though... there will be a lot of butthurt conservatives claiming that Obama stole the election by having Black Panthers scare away white voters from polling places in Ohio (as if they'd know who everyone is going to vote for), the voting machines were rigged to automatically pick Obama, and massive voter fraud means Obama didn't win fair & square.
They said it in 2008, even though Obama won with a sizable majority, so why not now?
Well if maybe the Republicans had just gone public with all those secret video tapes they claimed to have of Obama in college having gay sex with farm animals and experimenting with mind blowing drugs, maybe the election would have gone a different direction.
I do remember a conservative friend saying, "A lot of bad stuff is going to come out about him closer to the election." Wonder why that never happened?

It's always hard to tell how much of this sort of bubble thinking is due to the right wing media being delusional, versus how much of it is due the the right wing media being dishonest. Do the pundits on Faux News believe their own claims about their popularity, or are they knowingly inflating their claims of popularity for propaganda purposes?
This "Democrat + 11 sample" has been one of my favorite post-election stories. Apparently the Foxtards were telling themselves that the reason for the higher numbers of Democrats sampled in the polls was because of bias on the part of the pollers, when in fact, there are simply more Democrats in America than Republicans, a fact they can't bring themselves to acknowledge.

It is possible, but that's not what happened. Contrary to the lies the GOP has been spewing since Tuesday, Obama did win the popular vote, as well.
