My feeling/understanding is that most National Socialists regarded them as harmful parasites, not as subhumans. Isn't the picture "the Nazis viewed us (Jews) as inferior creatures to be exterminated" just a Jewish invention? By acting that way, Jews abroad can/could depict their fellow Jews as martyrs of Nazism (essential to Zionist aims) without being forced to explain the harmful effects Jews had on the German people and why the Nazis wanted to get rid of them. To me, it seems that the Jewish achievements (real or invented) were never in the balance when the Nazis dealt with the Jewish question. The issue wasn't that Jews were inferior or not. The issue was that they were undeniably harmful to the Germans, and that's why the Nazis wanted them out of their new Reich and later (during the war) out of the entire German sphere of influence and vicinity (i.e. the surrounding countries as France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Hungary, Poland, etc. because no lasting peace was possible with Jew-owned countries surrounding the Reich).
