When some people refuse to acknowledge the existence of hell it's because they are really afraid they might go there.

Of course! Now, could you tell me exactly where hell is? Where exactly is purgatory? Where does it get it's energy? Does one go there upon the instant of death or upon god's judgement at the end of days? Is it a lake of fire or just seperation from god?
If I don't believe in heaven, how can I believe in hell?
And when people talk about Narnia, or Mordor, or Endor, it's because they believe those places exist too.
Nope given how easy it is to get I to heaven if heaven and he'll were real I would have no fear in hell. I would accept Jesus in a second.
The problem is the existence or heaven and he'll are not proven.
More like you lot are scared to shitting yourselves daily that you will. It's the core answer to "why do Christian not behave any better than non-believers and commit high crimes against others?" because most of you are already afraid you're destined for Hell by your life to date. That and your delusion there's a get outta Hell free card to play.
Then y'all invented "born again" because asking for forgiveness lost it's special status by being kinda Catholicy so you figured you'd fool God by being reborn,,, or some such shit,,, it's scriptually bullshit and in reality it's ridiculously childish bullshit. "I'll just start all over, that'll keep me out of Hell, the devil can't see you and Heaven has to start a new book. Maybe I'll be extra pious like some preachers and be born again and again to infinity."
Look folks, your religions crazy enough without your little 'mericun additions and pretentions that non-believers are more frightened then you've made yourselves.
And you can name one such person?
Just one person who's logic is so flawed that they actualy think that wishing makes it so?
Anyone functional enough to dress and feed themselves, but who honestly thinks that by refusing to acknowlege the existance of hell, that they can avoid going there?

It does exist, and no, not really, considering how Americans - certainly in this part of Michigan - are generally generous & warm people.
And in that order. Next question. [/hyper-smartarrse]
Hell has been located; it's known as Grimsby.
I'm afraid to travel down certain roads in my home town (not Grimsby thankfully), but this doesn't mean that I deny their existence.

When some fundamentalist christians refuse to acknowledge the existence of natural homosexuality it's because they are really afraid they might be homosexual themselves.
Hey, turning arguments around is fun!
Hell is located in El Paso, TX.
Jersey is nothing like hell, we have the Atlantic, awesome food, a long history of really cool urban legends & close proximity to the Big Apple. I suppose that would be hellish for terrified fundies.
Do you acknowledge the existence of single-L Hel? No? Then by your own "logic" that has to mean that you're afraid that you won't manage to earn a ticket to Valhalla by dying gloriously in battle.
And BTW, the Norse gods are way more believable/efficient than Biblegod:
