Quote# 105596

Christians are not wimps, whiners, and weepers; but that has been an accusation made by atheists when we complain about the attacks against us and our beliefs. Those attacks multiply this time of year. We are told that there is no war - that we are too sensitive and should keep quiet and go back to our hot chocolate huddles in our church basements.

But our critics are wrong. There is a concerted effort to hurt our effectiveness, hinder our efforts, and halt our evangelism. Those attacks usually come from heathens, homosexuals, and humanists.

[...]

School textbooks across the fruited plain have been expunged removing any positive mention of Christ and Christianity from them. After all we must not distort, deceive, and dull the pliable minds of the state's children, you know. In the past 20 years there has been a determined effort to replace Christianity with Islam in textbooks. You know, the peaceful religion that specializes in decapitating innocent children and civilians.

[...]

The evidence is overwhelming that there is a war against the Master, message, and morals of the Bible and I'm in this war to the end - and God wins.

Professor von SCIENCE!!!

Of course there is a war against the Master but he probably started it because he's an insane timelord.

"In the past 20 years there has been a determined effort to replace Christianity with Islam in textbooks."

Add delusional to that list at the top there Don.

Meeeh

"War On Christmas" is a PR move made by FOX News and does not exist outside of FOX News studio.

Btw, FOX News store says "Happy Holidays!" so FOX needs to start fighting itself!

There is a concerted effort to hurt our effectiveness, hinder our efforts, and halt our evangelism.

Yeah, we want to be left alone so we're fighting a war in self defence... How about you leave us the fuck alone and we won't have to fight back?

That is complete bull. There is no effort at all to replace Christianity with Islam in Test books. Islam like Christianity is only brought up when needed like in history or world studies. Neither is getting better treatment then the other.

You just wish that Text books bring up Christianity and it's God every chance they can. You want Christianity and God to be thanked for the founding of America, the rising of the sun, the creation of mathematics, the invention of the computer and everything else.

Credit should go where it's do. If you can point out where text books give credit to Islam for things it had nothing to due with and where it diminishes what Christianity did and you can show me the truth that's being removed I will stand along side you.

Hang on a minute - you just made all that shit up!

You are whiners. Every time I tell a Christian "I'm not interested, stop bugging me with your evangelism," they whine.

Goomy pls

You seem to be overly obsessed with asinine and absurd alliteration.

"Christians are not wimps, whiners, and weepers"

I consider them to be troglodytes, knuckle-draggers and savages myself. Far be it for me to judge them improperly.

"But our critics are wrong."

Practicing prehistoric Bronze Age traditions thousands of years after prehistory ended is on the cusp of modernity and progressiveness.

"There is a concerted effort to hurt our effectiveness, hinder our efforts, and halt our evangelism."

Right, I'm giving savagely backward prehistoric tradition practicing troglodytes the acknowledgement of their existence and some of my time by posting messages such as this. Therefore more effort than none was made.

"In the past 20 years there has been a determined effort to replace Christianity with Islam in textbooks. You know, the peaceful religion that specializes in decapitating innocent children and civilians."

Because as far as theocracies are concerned, the American one is good and the Iranian one is evil. Who will win in this clash of the troglodytic civilizations? Who knows but do I care?

"The evidence is overwhelming that there is a war against the Master, message, and morals of the Bible and I'm in this war to the end - and God wins."

Definitely, it's impossible to defeat people's imaginary friends. There is no hope of ever engaging fantasy in reality.

I'd be startled to find Christ or Christianity in a physic textbook. And is it just me, or is he whining about not being a whiner?

Doubting Thomas

Christians aren't whiners? Then why do they always get their panties in a wad whenever someone sues to remove a cross from government property? And isn't that comment about school textbooks nothing but a petulant whine?

Preserving the texts of the ancient Greeks and Romans. The Ottomans might have been Islamic, but the important part is that they weren't fundies.

As usually used by you miserable whiners, that's usually a one-word deal.

Not all Christians are whiners, just the ones who do nothing but whine.

What textbooks have ever tried to claim that the Puritans were Muslim? When has anyone tried to claim that then Enlightenment took place in the Middle East? For years I was thinking of being a social studies teacher, and I can assure you that never have I encountered any attempt to deny that Europe since the fall of the Roman Empire was Christian, nor have I encountered any credible educational theorist who wants to exclude Christianity from lessons on world religions. Teaching Christianity in a nondevotional matter (the same way you teach EVERYTHING else) is no exclusion. Hell, I suspect that even when some teachers do try to be fair, they still represent Christianity more accurately due to having more familiarity with it than with other religions.

To anyone who thinks that my negative opinions of Islam (based on the clear teachings of the religion as professed by self described moderates) constitute an "irrational" fear: no. This guy, this Don Boys fellow, has an irrational fear of Islam, and a bunch of other stuff too most likely. This is what irrational paranoia looks like. Thank you.

Those "attacks" probably come from people that you are trying to persecute.
It ought not to be the schools' job to indoctrinate children into religion. If you want to have brainwashed kids, do it yourself!

The "concerted effort to hurt our effectiveness" is from people who prefer living in a country governed by the Constitution of the United States rather than a theocracy; to "hinder our efforts" means allowing people of whatever race, color, beliefs and sexual orientation to live their lives unmolested; and to "concerted effort to halt our evangelism" is largely comprised of people being allowed to say reject being evangelized. It's called living in the United States. Get used to it.

Any real God in the sense of omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, can't have enemies. Only the idol you made in your own image can do that.
