Liberalism has been on the wane for quite sometime now. 2008 will probably be remembered as the high water mark. A big reason for this the internet has allowed like minded people to reach out and find each other. Prior to internet, the perception was that conservatives were the minority, when in actuality it was liberals that were the minority.
The main stream media fostered this impression and carefully cultivated it.
The internet has undermined that control. Dems have to do something to get that control back.
This is step one.
