In 10 years, the #BoycottIndiana folks will be trying to put pastors in jail for refusing to perform gay weddings.

"Oh yeah! I bet you want to throw me in jail for my beliefs, don't you? Don't you!? Throw me in jail where they'll... w-where they'll sodomize my sacred little Christian asshole. Maybe... m-m-maybe torture me for a while. Smack me around a little and call me filthy names. Just like Jesus! Buff, sweaty, half naked Jesus! Well do it! Slap those cuffs on my wrists! Persecute me! PERSECUTE MEEEEEEEAHHH~~!
... ... I don't suppose any of you godless heathen faggots has a towel or something I could borrow."
"Please just pay for your groceries and get out of our store, reverend. We've talked about this."
That's a fair assessment. Perfectly reasonable.
It's just like all those Catholic priests we have in prison now for refusing to perform Protestant, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, and Satanic weddings.
You don't really understand the concept of religion very well, do you? The government of the United States has tried to respect boundaries (in most cases except the tax thing, but that's a whole ' nother story). The only thing that is being slapped down is religions that do not respect that boundary. That boundary means that religious customs should be followed ONLY BY THOSE WHO FREELY CHOOSE THAT RELIGION. In other words, the following of religious rules is VOLUNTARY. Religions have no business messing with the beliefs and customs of others, who have the same rights of voluntary choice.
Are these morons incapable of seeing the distinction between marriage as a civil institution and marriage as a religious idea? Since it's the former that's legally binding and regulated by the government and has real effects and consequences, that's the one people care about. No one cares if some bigoted asshole in a robe refuses to perform a religious ceremony that isn't recognized by the state and has no legal consequences.
Get over yourselves.
No-one's suggesting that, it's far too harsh, but I suspect that you would be ambivalent if homosexuals were imprisoned, thus exposing who is truly being prejudged and discriminated against.
Hey Tim, remember when you predicted that Chris Broussard would get fired from ESPN for the homophobic statements he made on air? He's still there, almost two years later. Why should anyone take you seriously this time (that's a trick question, because nobody ever has or ever will take you seriously about anything)?
This isn't even getting into the fact that some of the people supporting #BoycottIndiana are Christians, whether you like it or not.
Given all the people other than pastors who are capable of performing those weddings, or the possibility of just finding an open-minded pastor somewhere else, can they honestly think throwing people in jail would ever be necessary?

...meanwhile, way before then:

Go back to sleep, Timmy Pukeman. Nobody gives a shit about your so-called 'Pastors'. Meanwhile, Tony Alamo: who'll only be leaving prison in a box. NEXT !
Confused?
