The key to thriving as a cop is keeping your focus on eternal priorities. It’s not your job to maintain justice in this world. For you, this job is just a tool that God has chosen to bring you closer to Him. Life is about you and God. Growing closer to Him and pleasing Him—nothing else matters.

Apart from all that 'to protect and serve' business.
And be honest Anna, you'd sooner call emergency services than pray to Papa Smurf if you got robbed
It’s not your job to maintain justice in this world.
If that's your attitude, then you shouldn't be a cop.

Thank you, Annie, for admitting that your God is the one who is pleased by his devotees following the Five K's, and that his Word is the Guru Granth Sahib. [/hyper-smartarse] >:D
Sikh police officers here in the UK. Americentricism. It'll be the death of you US fundies, one of these days.
@Gearhead mk2
Will a 'Racist Barn' do...?! /)^3^(\
you dont "thrive" in a profession by not doing your job.
Cops dont maintain or provide "justice", thats a slippery concept. Cops enforce the law to the best of their ability and then pass it over to the Diostrict attorney to decide to prosecute or not, then the judicial system and so forth.
Cops need to be non-sectarian so they support the law as it is written for all people regardless of religion, race , sexual orientation or whatever.
I think this confirms Anna's already in the crazy house. There's no way she can afford to live on her own if her view of working is "it's not your job to do what you were hired to do" (and we haven't seen any stories of her crying persecution over a refusal to work to prove otherwise), and the only other people who would willingly let her live with them would be other crazy fundies that would restrict her access to the Internet under the reasoning that "gawd don't want them wimmenfolk havin' a life outside th' kitchen".
Unfortunately, that would also mean that she's getting the help she desperately needs... and it's not doing jack shit for her because she's too far gone already.
Unless I lived in a Calvinist theocracy, of which thank God none exist today, I don't want those sorts of people protecting me and protecting the law.
There's enough bad cops as it is now, we don't need Calvinist nutjobs in the profession.
It’s not [a cop’s] job to maintain justice in this world.
Well, in that point Anna is actually right. That’s ideally the job of the court system. A cop’s job is to keep order and to provide the courts with information.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
