I have no idea where people get the idea that Trump's supporters are Tea Partiers/conservatives, but it's not from any of the data.

not really wrong. current polls show that trump's support is spread widely across the GOP. when you divide his supporters by their second choices or self identification, it is hard to see a core group of supporters. he lead clearly in any republican group that was polled.
to me, that might be scarier.
Well, considering the alternative - all of whom are thought of as 'RINOs' by the Teabaggers - then, as per Mitt 'Magic Pants' Romney, Donald Fart is their 'Anyone But Obama' candidate.
The Repubican party won't nominate him, as they can't control him, so he'll have to run as an independent.
That data indicates that Farty-boy will hand Hillary Clinton the White House on a platinum platter. >:D
Maybe because they're stupid enough to believe that an uber-rich, sociopathic asshole who preaches low wages for the working class would do something in office to benefit them or the country, and that's pretty much the same level of stupid as the Teabaggers.
I don't think there's much of a tea party any more, but if they're still around, who would they prefer? They have a choice of loser, loser, and loser. I am not looking forward to a whole year ahead, with Trump's perpetual bragathon going on.
"Donald Trump, President of the United States.
What would that be like?"
That was addressed in an episode of the Simpsons, where President Lisa Simpson inherited the mess left by President Trump - basically, he did to the country what he's done to his own businesses, but worse.
It doesn't matter whether Trump's sycophants are Tea Party crackpots or not, as it is clear to see that these crazies are drawn to an attention seeking, politicised troll. Tea Party or not, they're fucking barmy, but I guess the argument is valid, since he's tapped into the paranoia of the Tea Party movement.
Trump isn't exactly the most purist conservative or zealous religious believer. But he seems to be getting the far-right, über-religious elements of the country in a frenzy. He's almost a fascist leader in a way.
@Moose-sama
Surely you'd support Bernie, tho, right? Coincidentally, Jeremy Corbyn's middle name is Bernard.
Who else would form a love affair with a racist, blowhard idiot Republican politician who rails against political correctness, illegal immigrants, and not being allowed to amass as much wealth as possible?
Confused?
