Quote# 112758

We have been over this with you so many times, Jade. Moses and Paul wrote under the inspiration of the God and since Jesus IS God, He is the author of the whole Bible and He affirmed marriage to be between one man and one woman in His own words in the gospels. He never blessed gay marriage...never. He would leave no confusion on this issue. He is God.

We have said this again and again also....no true Christian HATES gay people. We do not 'hate our gay neighbors' just because we stand up for what the Bible teaches. Muslim truly DO hate them...behead them, chop their hands off, throw them from tall buildings and even the most moderate of them will avoid gays completely if at all possible. Christians tell gays they need to forsake their sin and trust in Christ because we do not want them to spend an eternity in hell. We want them to know the peace and joy we have found in Christ. Nobody is going around forcing them to 'convert'. Now which of those two is more troubling to you? I know. Unless Christians approve of LBGTism and celebrate it.... stop calling it sin...they are the biggest haters of all. It is all or nothing for the gays, but Christians have a right, for now, in this country to believe the Bible.

You can believe in the bible all you want. You just can't force people to conform to your beliefs and get mad when they don't.

So what about the Christians who have kied homosexuals because their Bible says so. You have the right to believe what you do. That's not going anywhered

Churchy LaFemme

Unfortunately for you, there's no place in the Bible where God says marriage is between one man and one woman. Many men in the OT had multiple wives. Paul personally hated sex in all forms and I doubt that you think he was channeling God in that regard.

Conversion therapy. You are a liar.

You have a right to believe it. You don't have a right to force others to live by it, or to be more precise, to live by whatever interpretation you and your particular church put on it. And if you believe the bible because the bible tells you to believe the bible, I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale, cheap.

"We have been over this with you so many times"

Here's the thing about that. Your bullshits been debunked over and over yet you still use the same failed arguments when we ask for evidentiary substance.

AND you never offer anything other then "God breathed inspiration into the scriptural writers" or some such shit. He was the ancient version of the ass that sends postcards back home exaggerating his holiday. " Met the son of God today, we surfed the Dead Sea and catered a smashing wedding"

The ONLY people to speak directly to God, according to scripture, were Noah and Moses and that wasn't for long and Moses only broke the first recorded words. Even Peter Pan had more maturity than that! There were some other reported slight talks or Angel messaging but none of those fucks wrote a book, Now did they?

Moses couldn't have wrote of his own death and Paul was a johnny come lately "look what shit Saul sent us" scribe.

@Canadiest

Most of the Old Testament prophets claimed to be speaking for God in their prophecies. Paul did not directly make that claim, which was unusual for Jews in his time—they commonly believed that Yahweh's direct inspiration of prophets had ended several centuries earlier. However, 2 Timothy 3:16 (probably not genuinely written by Paul) says that "all Scripture is God-breathed." What would have counted as Scripture in the author's mind is difficult to know, but that passage is the one on which Christians base the claim that all the Bible is divinely inspired.

Yeah, you have a right to believe whatever crazy-ass shit you want. Believe your bible. Build your entire house out of goddamn bibles for all we care. Just don't get a government job issuing marriage licenses and force your beliefs on anyone else by denying them their civil rights just because your goddamn bible says it's icky.

When you get a government job, while you're at work, you represent the government. During work time, you don't have the option to exercise your personal rights, because the government you SWORE AN OATH BEFORE YOUR GOD TO UPHOLD must come first. Regardless of what you personally believe. If you don't like that, tough shit, that's how it is. Resign.

When will u fundies start condemning adulterers as much as gays? The Bible condemns that more.

Oh but your preacher commits adultery, I bet.

building doctrine out of what the babble fails to describe jesus as doing, now, are we? then i guess taking a crap must be sinful.

Yes, Muslims are worse than Christians. I've never denied this.

But you are hateful. You wholeheartedly endorse the perpetual torture of gays for the crime of birth, and you describe yourself as taking pleasure in the entity whom you believe is responsible for carrying out the torture. If you take peace and joy in any of that, you need to have your head examined.

But you aren't as bad the Muslims, that is true. Allow me to express my sarcastic congratulations. I'm sure that was a very difficult achievement.

9/12/2015 8:45:32 PM

God slept with Mary to have Jesus, but god IS Jesus, so Jesus had sex with his own mother to concieve himself! Try running the DNA on that crime scene!

Guy comes up to you and says he's channeling God, you'd say he's crazy. But Paul makes the same claim eons ago, and you buy what he wrote as the literal word of God?

A) No he's not. Period. Learn how to fucking read.
B) Claiming to have been inspired by a god is meaningless. I could claim that this very comment was inspired by Allfather Odin and it would be EXACTLY as credible as these claims you speak of.

The Bible commands you to stone gays to death and so send them to eternal torment. That sounds pretty hateful to me.

There is more violence directed at Muslims for being Muslims than Muslims direct at non-Muslims for being not Muslims.

I'd say Christians are worse than Muslims because while they're not executing prisoners in terrorist attacks, they sure are executing prisoners (even the ones whose guilt are questionable) in prisons! And they're even more bloodthirsty about it.

But then what do I expect from someone who accuses everyone who criticizes Israel's actions of being an anti-Semite?

Wow! I want to be oozing with charisma like Angel Jabbins! I too want to be an empty headed gullible twit like Jabbins. Maybe then I can believe that a nonexistent, testosterone derived, desert fantasy, dribble enhancer is the King of the Universe. Wow! Then maybe I can get my own herds. Let's see, I can have some camels, some goats, maybe some sheep, and - Oh! and some women, as long as they are not too noisy.

I am no grandchild of any ape, monkey or baboon - Vavi on Homo naledi

VIDEO: Many critics have not read all our research - Professor Lee Berger on Homo naledi detractors

Cape Town - "No one will dig old monkey bones to back up a theory that I was once a baboon," former Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi tweeted on Saturday.

This led to a heated debate on Homo naledi, a new human ancestor discovered in the Cradle of Humankind.

When a follower countered that evolution is a proven science, Vavi responded: "Then prove that I was a monkey before - please don't bring old baboon bones."

The extraordinary new non-human species that buried its dead and lived in South Africa about two and a half million years ago was introduced to the world on Thursday.

The discovery was found in a remote, deep underground chamber of the Rising Star cave in October 2013, 1.5km from Sterkfontein, a warren of caves that have been providing many of the clues on how humans evolved.

Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom said on Friday he believed the discovery would prove to be a boost to tourism to the Cradle, which also happened after it was declared a World Heritage Site.

But Vavi tweeted he wanted more proof.

"I am no grandchild of any ape, monkey or baboon - finish en klaar. Now prove to me scientifically that I am," he challenged.

@mrdowdeswell invited Vavi to visit the Origins Centre at Wits University.

"I'd be happy to join to try to convey the science there," he offered.

But not everyone was as helpful.

"OK, and the world's still flat and the sun revolves around us. Good luck and goodbye," @mdefon replied.

Others agreed with Vavi.

"[This is] a lie. We were created as an image of God; there is no such thing called evolution," tweeted @IMangokoana.

@sechabap added: "I was created in God's image and not a baboon's, monkey or ape’s."

Premier Helen Zille also entered the fray. "We all derive from pre-historic hominids. Stop using Homo Naledi as an excuse to play victim. Marvel at evolution!"

When a follower responded that he agreed with Vavi, the former DA leader replied: "I'm sorry you feel victimised by science."

So, just because the Muslims are (according to your tenuous grasp on reality) worse than you, that means what you do is ok?

I suppose that means it's ok if I slap every black person I see, since the KKK 'truly DO hate them' and i'm just trying to help them see that being born that way is wrong!

If He would leave no confusion, how come there are three different Abrahamitic religions and thousands of different denominations of each?

Do you also tell divorcees, people dressed in clothes of mixed fabrics, people eating shellfish and people working on the Sabbath, that they need to forsake their sin and trust in Christ because you do not want them to spend an eternity in Hell?

You want to force them to marry people they aren't attracted to, or stay celibate their whole life. That's as bad as going around forcing them to 'convert', I'd say.

Unless Christians approve of divorcism and celebrate it, stop calling it sin, they are the...Wait, they've already done this, most of them. Well, then they are the biggest hypocrites of all.

Gays have a right, for now, in this country to have equal civil rights.
You do know that there are Christian gays, and that there are Christians who have no problem with equal rights for gays, nor with same-sex marriages, right?
