Glenn Beck Readies To Read His Children 'Left Behind' And Move Operations To Israel In Preparation For Looming Collapse

Glenn Beck hosted a studio audience on his television program last night, where he revealed that he has ordered his staff to find a location outside of the United States from which he can continue to broadcast his programs once American society collapses and the government shuts down his network.

Beck fielded a question from a woman who had relocated her family from California to Texas based upon Beck's warnings of a coming social collapse and wanted Beck's advice on how best to prepare her children for what is to come, to which Beck responded that he and his wife are going to start reading the apocalyptic "Left Behind" series to their own children in preparation for the End Times.

Beck revealed that he recently had conversations with two different people who warned that the American economy and social structure are on the verge of total collapse, which prompted him to tell his staff to get to work finding a location in Israel to which they can flee when it happens.

"We have to pick up our pace on finding another place to broadcast," Beck told his staff. "I need to know if I can get to Jerusalem, where they won't shut this down and we can be able to broadcast into the United States. This could end quickly."

Beck's young daughter happened to be in the room when he made that declaration and was understandably upset by it, but Beck said that we cannot shield our children from the realities of the world because "they're the giants that are going to fix this, they have to know."

As such, Beck and his wife are going to be reading the "Left Behind" series to their children because "they have to know that this might be the time ... You have an army on earth now that says they are the army of the Antichrist, they are the army of Armageddon."

Beck, of course, is doing all that he can to prevent this from happening, which is why he has endorsed Ted Cruz for president.

"This is why I'm endorsing Ted Cruz and I'm going out this weekend" to Iowa, he said. "If I could change one mind, I am not going to sit at home because I know what the consequences are."

Nothing says "Family Values" like giving your daughter night terrors over an imaginary apocalypse.

But isnt Beck a Mormon isn't that a very different belief? Do Mormons have a rapture?

Glenn talks with two people (two different people, mind you), then plans a move to Israel. He's kind of suggestible, isn't he?

"I need a safe place to hide. Hey, how about in a tiny middle eastern country surrounded by their deadly enemies? That oughta do it!"

And you're endorsing Cruz? Well, as we have already seen that your judgment is seriously flawed......

Good riddance.

And at least he chose a good place to go - Israelis would drool over a right winger like him, considering the fact that they're both right wingers and want to kill Palestinians for the lulz.

Two people ? Two different people ?

How are we supposed to compete with such rigorous and scientific research ?

Oh, yeah. I spoke to seven, count them, seven, different people who all said that Glenn Beck is a complete and utter bellend.

There are enough problems in the Middle East without adding a self-regarding missionary media personality of dubious mental stability.

@ NeoMatrix

Odd, then, that so many Israelis persist in voting for parties much more left-wing than those with any chance of gaining elected officials in the US. Given that the total number of both Palestinians and Israelis killed since 1948 is less than those killed in the Mexican-American War - just one of the many wars carried out by our people "for the lulz" - your singling out of the one country and one people from the whole world for this sort of opprobrium fits well with your form on deeming yourself uniquely qualified, certainly better than any Jew, to say who is a Jew and what Judaism is. No doubt, as Israelis are out knifing Palestinians (oops, 3 Israelis were knifed by a Palestinian yesterday) they shout something like "Oy vey, looks like the goyim got under this gevalt's skin". Oh, sorry, that's you being "funny" and it's our problem if we don't have a sense of humor, just like those people who don't think Moran and Mack hilarious. That must be the whimsical side of your Jew-hatred coming out.

Moran and Mack Comedy Israelis:

@ everyone else

I know that being against Israel is not the same as being anti-Semitic, but some people are neither, some people are one but not the other, and some people are both. NeoMatrix fits squarely into the last category.

That has to qualify as child abuse! What is CPS doing!?

What makes you think that Israel would welcome your sorry ass, Glennda? Though I guess you could help Israelians and Palestinians find some common ground in a shared hatred and contempt for you...

BTW, doesn't Rapturite mythology expect Israel to end up in the crapper with the rest of the non-Xians and the Xians who didn't choose the right form of Xianity, once Israel's role in your little masturbatory fantasiesprophecies is fulfilled?

Why do I get the feeling that what he's really preparing for is an escape from some kind of prosecution, lawsuit, or personal financial meltdown, and this is the story he's cooked up to snow his minions?

If Israelis are so left-wing, why is their entire military made up of fundies and why did they elect Netanyahu? Also, Israelis aren't out knifing Palestinians - they're simply bulldozing their neighborhoods and killing whoever gets in their way.

They're not the saints you make them out to be.

To be fair, this is the first time I've seen anything about Glenn Beck in a long, long time.

Right, and when the inevitable news story breaks about him, it will be "false persecution" because "he's telling the truth."

You have no sense whatever of shades of grey, do you? Either abortion (see Quote #116474) is a wonderful thing and everyone should have one, and if someone doesn't agree that can only mean they want abortion banned. Because more Israelis vote for Netanyahu than anyone else, and even then had difficulty in scraping a government together, that must mean that all Israelis must be right-wing. Because the Israeli army is run by elected politicians and the elected politicians happen to be right-wing, that must mean that every single last soldier must be right-wing - it doesn't matter to you that the IDF is composed of most Israelis who vote for all kinds of parties, including communist, and Israeli soldiers, like soldiers in most countries, follow the orders given by their political masters.

That I "make [Israelis] out to be" saints is another example of your complete lack of perspective - either people are angels or they're damnable. No; Israelis, like Palestinians and like everyone else, are a mixture. Some Israelis kill and some bulldoze, but there are others who arrest the killers and who lie down in front of the bulldozers. There are good ones and bad ones, right-wing ones and left-wing ones, religious ones and non-religious ones.

Humanity, NeoMatrix, is not black and white. Humanity is messy, ambiguous, made of many different nuances, occasionally even self-contradictory. You've shown time and again that you are completely incapable of tolerating it. And that intolerance is what we mock here at FSTDT; you're the latest in a long line of fundies who've shown up here. Your emotion and anger and racism all have one thing in common: humanity itself is what you truly hate.

2/2/2016 8:54:26 AM

NeoMatrix

@Hasan Prishtina
No, I don't hate humanity. In fact, I think that humans are naturally inclined to lean towards good at heart despite their flaws; it's religion that ultimately makes them do evil things. You know the old saying - "Good people do good things and evil people do evil things - but for a good person to do evil things, that takes religion".

You know what I hate? I hate what religion does to humanity. I hate watching human beings suffer over imaginary beings. I hate watching the world swirl down the toilet bowl because of it. I hate watching billions starve and die in poverty because of religious beliefs. I hate the violence, the rape, the murder.

And I refuse to tolerate it for that reason. Watching other people suffer and kill because of religion breaks my heart... and I see it in the news everyday. Even one person dying from religion is one too many.

I just want people to treat each other with respect and dignity - why am I a "fundie" for wanting that?

And the reason I said abortion was good was because I wanted to de-stigmatize a normal medical practice. I know it came off as shocking/edgy and troll-ish, but it calls attention to the positive aspects of abortion.

@ NeoMatrix

"Good people do good things and evil people do evil things - but for a good person to do evil things, that takes religion".

All it takes is an ideology. If you put ideas before the fate of individual people, you're well on your way. I'd think about that.

You know what I hate? I hate what religion does to humanity. I hate watching human beings suffer over imaginary beings. I hate watching the world swirl down the toilet bowl because of it. I hate watching billions starve and die in poverty because of religious beliefs. I hate the violence, the rape, the murder.

Following a religion has the potential for harm. It also has the potential for good. In most people, it has the potential for both. By the way, billions are not starving; the FAO says that about 10% of the world's population is malnourished, which is not as harsh as starvation, and that is not a billion people by itself. Furthermore, I would like to see what evidence you have that those people are malnourished because of religion, rather than say, wars fought between states or egregious government policies, both of which are usually little to do with religion. Your tossing out of emotional appeals with little grounding in fact does your cause no good at all. Yes, rapes, murders, and violence are religiously motivated. They're also politically motivated by regimes from right to left, but I don't see you getting angered by nationalists or state socialists to any degree compared to your aversion to religion.

And I refuse to tolerate it for that reason.

While being rather more tolerant of other belief systems that have the same effect.

Watching other people suffer and kill because of religion breaks my heart... and I see it in the news everyday. Even one person dying from religion is one too many.

Do you know what? I agree entirely. The difference between you and me is that a) I can see that that is true of any ideology, not just religion; and b) most ideologies and most religions are followed by people who take things as they find them rather than insist that their beliefs have to transcend reality, so they lead peaceable lives that are a benefit to those around them.

I just want people to treat each other with respect and dignity - why am I a "fundie" for wanting that?

What respect or dignity do you afford people by making assumptions about what they believe, caricaturing how people feel into black and white positions? Portraying the nuanced points of your interlocutors and opponents in cartoonish terms doesn't afford them respect or dignity, it doesn't bestow respect or dignity on you, and insults the intelligence of your readers.

If you don't want to be seen as a fundie, then, using the FSTDT FAQ's definition of "fundie," I suggest you tone down your "fondness of logical fallacies" like false dilemmas, "repeated use of emotional appeals" and "bigotry and discriminatory remarks towards minority groups." Does that answer your question?
