maybe it’s because being intelligent enough to embrace traditionalism is being intelligent enough to understand that there’s nothing wrong with sympathizing with Hitlers government and society.

Ah, yes, Hitler, the guy who was such a traditionalist that the actual traditionalists in Germany never fully trusted him, only went along with him in hopes of controlling him and when he had irrevocably screwed over Germany (and thus their idea of a traditionalist world power Germany) tried to kill him. Multiple times.
Hitler wasn't a traditionalist, he was his own unique breed of evil.
Sympathizing with Hitler's government? The government that destroyed its own country's cultural dominance, greatly damaged its scientific potential, caused it to be carved up between its conquerors, lost a third of its territory and turned millions of its own citizens into refugees? Not all that intelligent, if I might say so.
Sympathizing with Hitler's society? The one that was supposed to last for a thousand years but vanished like dew on a hot day once the Third Reich was over? I'm not sure you've thought this through...

You mean the Hitler who butchered, enslaved, and tortured millions of people; created a police state that punished anyone who had the slightest complaint, encouraged sexism and racism, and turned Germany's economy into a pyramid scheme? That Hitler?
You keep using that word "intelligence". I do not think it means what you think it means.
If you're really a traditionalist, you'd be sympathizing with Kaiser Wilhelm, not Hitler. Naizism was in part a reaction to the perceived failures of the old regime, particularly in the First World War.
