[Re: students seeing Gore's movie]
The leftist indoctrination of our young people cotinues apace with AlGore's Big Lie Propaganda. AlGore has learned his lessons well at the feet of his fellow leftist and master propagandist, Josef Goebbels, Hitler's Minister of Propaganda.

Why does he spell Al Gore as one word? I mean, I can understand writing MY name as one word because, well that's just how I write it. But Why Al Gore? Has he come to the Internet and started copying my name-writing-style?
If this poster sees Goebbels and Gore as being anywhere near each other in the political philosophy spectrum, and considers them both "leftist," then his idea of "moderate" probably is somewhere around Sauron.
I don't even want to think about what he would consider "conservative"!

<< TDR - there's no such thing as the right in Texas. There's the left, and the centre.
Naturalised-Uber-Texan's the centre (heart?) of Texas! >>

Gadzooks, if that's the center, then we need some corrective tectonic activity around here to get at least some semblance of balance!

One of the smallest minority groups in the world, the ultra-liberal, knee-jerk leftist Nazis.
And, may I point out, by the time Al Gore was born, Josef Goebbels feet had been dead almost 3 years.
Between Nazis, Sauron, and Sith, this has to be one of the coolest quotes (and reply sections) ever.

Take it away Paul Simons:
If you'll be my Minister,
I can be your long lost pal!
I can call you Goebbels,
And Goebbels, when you call me,
You can call me Al!

I can only think of one person to the right of Sauron - the Master of Darkness himself, of course . . .

Dear NT,
Uh, I wouldn't exactly call Goebbels a leftist. You would find that, if you could bring yourself to do a little reading - I assume you can do this, if Mr. G were alive today, he would probably be a member of your church and vote for the same party you do.
while I don't think the film is a big lie propaganda, I definitely don't like the alarmist and guilt-inducing tones the trailer offers up. It starts off by saying "If you love your children you'll see this movie". Seriously, do we need to defend left-wing fundamentalism when we could offer up a more centred and reasoning opinion?

Seriously, though, I can think of plenty of more evil individuals than Nixon. Hell, I could probably name at least half a dozen just from Free Conservatives.

Irrelevant, particularly since the comment you are responding to appeared to be an answer to a question asked merely out of curiosity.

To be fair, the folks over at politicalcompass.org had Hitler only slightly to the right on the economy and massively authoritarian. However, that corresponds far more strongly with "conservative" than it does with "liberal" - conservative is generally the authoritarian/right quadrant (which he is in), liberal the libertarian/left quadrant.
About the only sense in which the Nazis could be considered at all liberal is that there was some degree of state control of the economy. By that definition, I'm not sure a conservative state has ever existed.
Josef Goebbels was a fascist and, as such, an ultra-right-wing. He died three years before Al Gore was born.
I'd say it's more plausible that Rush Limbaugh learned propaganda from Goebbels than Al Gore. After all, Limbaugh himself is a Big Lie-mbaugh. (Yeah, yeah, that was cheap...)
Confused?
