First off differences between men and women are natural, patriarchy is what is natural.
“I would just say that women need to be treated both as equals and as people with equal value from now on.”
I am suspicious of this statement, it seems like female supremacy to me. It is the claim that women should be treated both as equal and as superior at the same time; treating women “as equals” seeming to mean that men and women should be treated the same in the masculine realm while treating women as having “equal value” means women should be treated preferentially or as superior in the feminine realm. Instead I would say that women should be treated as having equal value, not that men and women should be treated “as equals” because clearly men and women are not equal to each other, instead men and women are different.

Wow, word coleslaw. 4 quarters and a 1 dollar bill have equal value, but are physically extremely different. They don't belong to disparate domains. I'm trying very hard to detect some coherent point being made here, besides the grossly sexist initial premise.
1. Where the fuck did you get the notion it was female supremacy. Granted I worry that's what a portion of feminism is pushing for. But that statement is as egalitarian as one can get.
2. Patriarchy is natural in one sense. But it's also natural in the same sense that shitting in the woods and dying of dental disease in your early 30s is natural. Methinks you are going to be highly selective in your return to the natural order.
3. I skimmed the article. And I'm really not exactly sure what the feminine realm is. I think it might exist in the form of culture, ie, that there is cultural products that cater to women and cultural products that cater to men. But This guy didn't define his terms properly so who the fuck knows.
Yes, men and women are different. Professional basketball players and professional jockeys are different, too. Stephen Hawking is different in many ways from my high school physics teacher. So what?
Why is it so hard to understand that "treating people as equals" means ignoring differences that have nothing to with a task at hand? If I need my plumbing fixed, the gender of the professional plumber I call is irrelevant. My only concern is their competence.
If you think you're as good as me you must also think you're better than me...
That's an interesting thought process. Almost as interesting as how you managed to fabricate an underlying gender role division from a statement about respecting someone's skills without considering them above or beneath you in some grander scheme or hierarchy as is common in classism.
Equality is supremacy now? Are you speaking from the "masculine realm" or the "feminine realm"? By all means, carry on with your redefinition of words in the English language. But draw up a glossary of your new terms for the benefit of those of us who are not privy to the inner workings of your mind, please.
Again, a frightful little monkey terrified that in a truly just and equal society he`d never last long enough, let alone achieved some degree of succes in finding a life mate. His kind is literally scared shitless of the very idea that to attract a mate one needs to actively socialise with her, present some kind of sexual magnetism and that they simply wouldn`t be able to throw daddy`s money at the problem. Because living together with a loving mate is a status thing with our species and their kind is obsessed with status which they crave above all else(as it`s frequently denied to them on accounts of such folks having very little merit of their own).
"[T]reating women as having “equal value” means women should be treated preferentially or as superior in the feminine realm."
I would assume that women would have the home-field advantage in the "feminine realm" (whatever that is supposed to mean), so if anything, it would be preferential treatment for men . Or are you saying that it is actually men who are more suitable for the domestic domain - if that is the case, why do you not become your wife's househusband*?
* Even in the very likely case that you have no wife, this would most certainly vastly improve your chances with the ladies.
“When I use a word,” Jesse Powell said, in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to meanneither more nor less.”
Legal equality and the recognition of universal human dignity are not finite resources to be rationed.
How many times must this be repeated? Equality and uniformity are two different things. The latter is in no way a requirement for the former.
Equality as an ideal is the birthright of every person. Alas, our world is in a desperate state now in part because too few persons recognize this simple fact.
Patriarchy isn't natural. It says that women are somehow inferior to men and need protection and someone to look after them. Women are just as capable as men are to take care of themselves.
How do you get from "equal treatment"/"equal value" to supremacy?
"Equal" does not mean "the same", silly-nilly.
We are more alike than we are different, and not all fit into the male/female dichotomy.
His "feminist realm" exists only in his head, & is nothing but girls watching chick flicks, reading Harlequin romance novels & having pillow fights in their underwear. If he feels especially fun, they frolic in a fountain afterwards.
The rest of this is just your typical crapola, coming from an entitled whining little man-baby.

Yes, yes, we all know you like to condemn an extremely large movement of people based on the, like, 3% with the most extreme views. Same old song and dance.
Luckily for you, you'll never have to worry about ever being in a movement with people whom you don't agree 100% with as no one would want you in their movement to being with.
This looks like a rare case of a sexist fuck being totally honest about how they view the world. They take what is literally the mission statement of feminism as a whole ("men and women should be treated as having equal value as human beings") and treat it like some extremist demand for supremacy.
Basically, equality is supremacy. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.
@Swede
It all seems illogical and a misrepresentation of the word 'equal' don't it? Because it is. But why do Conservatives do this so often, when referring to equal rights for women, gays or other races and religions?
Because they're trying to destroy the meaning of 'equal' in their base, they're setting it up so any time it's brought up their base will object to it. That their base will see any evening of education, opportunities and wages will be seen as EXTRA BENEFITS, MORE FOR THEM and TAKING FROM US. Conservative culture is very much about whining that someone else got a piece of the pie.
And it's working, conservatives in general now see the word equal as unfair to them, just like they've destroyed the actual meanings of liberal and social over the years.
Confused?
