Meanwhile, biologists who have an actual understanding of genetics and heredity understand that "evolution" is an inevitable byproduct of the physical mechanisms behind heredity.

No, Darwin based his theory of evolution on close, detailed studies of insects, birds and reptiles, and postulated that living organisms could have arisen from an acient common ancestor.

In any event, it wouldn't have made any difference WHAT Charles Darwin believed, for the same reason it doesn't make any difference that Isaac Newton was a fucking alchemist who thought he would be remembered for his work on the Philosopher's Stone, and that his Calculus was basically a toy with which he amused himself. Nobody cares that Newton was an occultist.

Also, one of Hitler's favorite books was "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion." In it, Darwin's theories are explicitly listed as a Jewish conspiracy:
