From a thread titled "How do you justify preventing someone like my wife from re-entering the USA?"
And everything she does could be done by an American who identifies as American first not Iranian. Gtfo out of America and stay out we don't need any more of you scum.

Anybody who chooses a wife because of her nationality is an ignorant boob with no capacity for love. Anyone who suggests that someone else should do that is a hateful bigot.
Please, don't marry. Ever. Nobody deserves that kind of pain.
The order covers place of birth. If you're an American citizen, born of American parents, paying US income tax, who happens to have been born in Iran in the days when we were friendly with the regime there, you are covered by this mess of an order. It's just a shame that few in the Persian-American community live in FL, OH, PA or WI.
@2013384, its mainly effecting people with legal visas. Apparently students or people with work visas or other legal reasons to live in America can't visit their homes for if they do they can't come back.
Also the refugee ban originally had an exception for people like that but Try o refused that exception.
The following piece demonstrate the inane basis for the whole thing:

The order invokes the September 11 attacks, even though all of the 19 hijackers who perpetrated that attack originated from countries not on the ban list (15 of the 9/11 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia, with the rest coming from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Lebanon). The Boston Marathon bombers were born in Kyrgyzstan, the 2015 San Bernardino attackers in Pakistan and the United States, and the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooter in the U.S. with roots in Afghanistan, none of which are on the list. Several commentators have noted that "Muslim-majority countries where [the] Trump Organization has done business or pursued potential deals" are excluded from the scope of the order

The kind of engineering skills this women has (that is, designing chips) are rare enough employeers don't spare the expense to search abroad for it.
@Hasan Prichtina
Apparently, the folks fighting ISIS in the armed forces of Iraq, an allied of America, has to ask for a waiver to the State Department, but Trump is willing to ally with those presently cooperating with the Talibans and those employing those who murdered American soldiers .

The basis for the whole thing is actually very simple. A few years ago, Obama passed an executive order for increased scrutiny on immigrants from a handful of specific countries that were considered to be potential harbingers of terrorism (why Saudi Arabia isn't on that list, no one knows, but I guess the US doesn't want to piss off one of their largest trade partners). Trump and the Republicans simply pulled that list out and said "Okay, now immigrants from these countries are banned!", and the entire reason they used that list is so they could fall back on the "Obama did it!" excuse that the current bunch of Republicans LOVE to use to defend every action they take.
Also note that if Saudi Arabia would have been on that immigration block list, Trump would have had it removed; he does business with the Saudi government.
Confused?
