God is Amazing! I am always intrigued, captivated, and stand in awe when I consider the universe. What was God thinking? Did He really create all of those stars (the nearest star to earth being 4.24 light years away) just for mankind to have a night light? (Genesis 1:14-19). Yes, that is what the Bible teaches. God gave us the sun, moon and stars. This is why mankind will NEVER find any intelligent life in the universe apart from the earth. God created it all for us.

Archeologists and explorers have been discovering thousands of scrolls, tablets and fragments of the Bible for centuries. So does that confirm the divinity of the Hindu Vedas? I mean they have all that in addition to being much, much older.
People have uncovered all of these findings in scattered places throughout the Middle East, in multiple languages.
Can any book throughout history claim such remarkable exposure?
And if men did write the Bible without ant Divine inspiration, then how did the forty Biblical writers, over 1,500 years of history, manage to complete such a seamless masterpiece of prophecy? And then there's Jesus, who didn't fulfill even half of the prophecies of the messiah .
The Quran can not claim this, it contains no prophecy.

I would also add, large sections of the Bible have nothing to do with others. The characters in Song of Solomon appear nowhere else, and neither do the sexual mores.

Adding on to what Shepard Solus said, there's also this thing called EDITING. Look it up sometime; it's how large books like the Lord Of The Rings end up mostly consistent. And we know the RCC chose to edit the Holy Bible around 400 AD. Specific targets included any section showing women in a positive light and anything that suggested Jesus might be a normal man.

Davey boy, you can't have it both ways. Many Biblical documents have surfaced since the KJV was written, and yet firstly, you claim that this is the only perfect translation, and secondly laud new findings which actually contradict the KJV in the same breath.
You really should find a new hobby - one that does not make people think that you cannot find your own kitchen and cook a meal.

Answer me this, DJS. Isn't pride the worst sin of all? Then why do you fundies keep believing (and insisting) that we're the most unique and special things in all of existence? You're aware it's been disproven in more than one place and contradicts itself. Plus having historically be spread by sword helped too. Convert or die.

Some of the Founding Fathers were Deists. They believed in a 'God', sure: but one which just poofed everything into being, set it all in motion, then just left it to go on it's own course.

One can say much about David J Stewart and little of it flattering but no one can deny that his writings, if that is the correct term, have a high comedy value. I always think of him as a character in the Katzenjammer Kids comic. America should treasure its loons and kooks and not send them in exile to Guam and other faraway places.
