['If you just found out Christianity was a hoax. How would this change your life?']
I would stay pretty much the same, still subscribing to the ideas of Christianity.
However if somehow I came to the conclusion that God did not exist...well, I would definitely take up illegal drug use to try to escape the reality that when life is over that's it.....Yep heavy drug use....that is the way I'd go.

This is why these people don't understand atheists. They think that without "God" to cling to, they would have to resort to drug or that they would become criminals. So, they assume everyone is as rudderless and morally weak as they are.
I think that many religious people just crave something to be addicted to whether it's religion or drugs or sex or or or... That's why a lot of alcoholics and other drug addicts who kick their habit fervently adopt religion.
What is really screwed up is fundies don't seem to give a damn that all the things they think they'll do if they find out there isn't a god is still illegal . Even though I am an atheist, I don't have any desire to go out and kill anyone, rob anybody, or break into someones home to steal their possessions. Not only do I think it is wrong to do these things, but I am more worried about getting caught and going to prison than I am being sent to Hell. But then, fundie logic is an oxymoron and serves no purpose.

And there, ladies and gentlemen, is at the heart of all of it.
"I'm so far gone that even if it's shown to my face it doesn't exist I'll go right on believing it anyway."
That's why there's no point in even trying to get through to these people - if they won't listen to each other, why would they ever listen to us?
I don't know. I think they'd either a) stick their fingers in their ears, screw their eyes shut, and do the "la la la" thing, or b) they'd react violenty and lash out at whoever were offering said proof. I've seen both extremes from them time and time again. Which way they went would be anyone's guess.
In the OP's defense, maybe he meant more like subscribing to the ideals and morals of Christianity, not like, the theological tenets of the religion.
My dad is very active in his Presbyterian church. He once asked his minister whether it should make any difference to Christians if Christian mythology were disproven. "If they rolled away the stone and found a corpse there," quoth he, "would it really make a difference? Would it mean we shouldn't all treat one another with love and respect?"
My dad is a Christian. T1wGl is not.
Wow, that's sad.
You people are so needy and dependent.
"Christ, help me through this."
"Christ, kill that bastard."
"Christ, why is his car better than mine?"
"Christ, blah blah blah"
"Christ, if you're not real, I'm gonna just kinda take some drugs"
if somehow I came to the conclusion that God did not exist...well, I would definitely take up illegal drug use
Figures; trade one addiction for another one.
But why 'illegal', necessarily?
Confused?
