"because to be an atheist, you're not putting faith in anything at all."
absolutely false ..... we all obey a god ..... either the true God .... or one of our own making ..... a-theists worship their belly or the "law of other men" or "science" ..... but worship and obey they do ..........

I'm sure that poor horse has been pummeled enough, dontcha think?
How can, "Some people don't believe in a Higher Power at all" be such an alien concept to these people?
Tell ya what, Amos, you go ahead and define yourself, and I'll define myself. Let's keep to our own sphere of expertise, OK?

Fundies understand religion, but don't understand anything else. In consequence, they imagine anything they see being done is religion.
The first sentence was correct, dearie. As an atheists, we don't put faith in anything, we see reality as it is.
Atheists don't believe in any gods.
We worship our bellies? How? Why?
"science" is what brought you the computer, and the Internet you post on, stupid.
Just cause YOU can't fathom not having some big bully to suck up to, doesn't mean that the rest of us are so limited, honey.
Sure, we follow the laws, but that's hardly worship; we just don't want to harm others or infringe on their civil rights.
Again, you only weaken your so called faith with such stupid comparisons.
I know you hear this canard from some preacher and it's sound sensible to you but think about it. Is your religion just an activity or rules to a system? I actually think it is just that, nor more valid than Poker as a way of life, but you people pretend it's so much bigger than that. At least you didn't go as far as some and claim we worship Pink Floyd.
Oh oh, hope I don't offend any Floydinians out there.
Also.
This is what they came up with as more and more realized it seems ridiculous to pray to an always invisible man in the sky and attend these stupid pointless rituals every week. At some point the best thing some preacher could come up with to excuse such childish behavior was "everybody prays to or worships something"
Lacking discernment and grasping at straws y'all adopted this stupid excuse.
But think about it, put it to the test. Is your faith equal to a love of fried chicken?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
