You're right. I shouldn't have let it get this far.

Some quotes (including this thread) say they have more comments than they actually have.

The comments are usually from banned users, so they don't appear.

About three or four quotes sourced from Tumblr disappeared from FSTDT. Did you delete them or...?

It seems as if /r/incels has gone private.

PS: Also, Tim the Rat got banned.

I have accidentally deleted a quote by a neoreactionary. Shy, please restore it.

I'm sorry I forgot about this thread for a few days! Been on a programming binge.

@The Reptilian Jew: Sorry I forgot to reply to this even though you posted it before my coding marathon. I answered someone else who asked in the IRC, so it got me mixed up and I thought I already answered. Those quotes were actually sarcastic and taken out of context.

@Daspletosaurus: My excuse this time is I just didn't notice your comment. (Again, sorry for all the late replies!) It's because those comments were "deleted," and the delete button actually just hides comments. I have to periodically purge them for real with my SQL sorcery. (Why, I don't know—it was like that when I inherited FSTDT, and I kept it that way so I could collect the comments and analyze them for .) There's a stored procedure in the database that recounts comments and takes hidden comments into account. It's not automatically called, though, on account of how it completely locks the database while it's working, it takes about 30-45 seconds during which users can't do anything at all; the content is all stored in the database. I would set it up to automatically run once a day at midnight, but SQL Server says I don't have permission to do that when I try to set it up.

@Pharaoh: Fixed this morning.

Shy please, contact me, I can`t acces our irc and I have no idea if the mail I sent you through the admin contact ever reached you.

EDIT: situation resolved for the moment, so we`ll just talk when you`re on irc :)

Is the IRC server completely gone, or just the web UI?

Randomly ranting about this because I happened to be here just as I noticed it...

I just ordered a new battery this morning for my antique (well, at least 8 years old, I think) hand-me-down laptop because it wasn't charging any more. I went through all the stuff I found online that said what to check out, and that sure sounded like the cause of the problem. Makes sense, due to how old it is, I thought. BUT...of course, NOW, 10 hours or so later, the battery is charging up just fine! Dafuq??

Oh well, if nothing else, I'll have an extra battery, at least it didn't cost me too much.

IRC is kill?

6/26/2017 12:54:06 PM

the chat is not dead per se but you can't get in on the standard client…

6/26/2017 2:22:05 PM

It should be fixed now, guys. Sorry! Didn't have anything to do with me!

I think I accidently commented on a quote while still in the queue. I can't find it anymore. It was about an incel rapist*.

*an incel that is also a rapist, not a rapist that rapes incels.

@SomeApe: Don't worry about it. Hell, I comment before approving occasionally.

Now that I'm over the cold-thingy from hell (which I was stupid enough to go swimming with when it was just the sniffles), I'll have the FAQ up by the first and the about page shortly thereafter. Same with links. Haven't forgotten about it! Just wanted to give plenty of time for feedback. The Github for the new site should be open to devs sometime next week or soon thereafter, and I'll be making the link public around the end of the month.

Still deciding whether to use LuaPages or not.

6/28/2017 2:17:19 AM

Yeah but where's the quote now?
