Right, evolutionism claims there was this exploding dot followed by some kind of speciation nobody has ever seen. That's their story and they're sticking to it.

Well, of COURSE you don't believe in evolution, if that's what you think it is!
OBoehner reminds me of Roseanne Roseannadanna, going off on a huge rant about a misinterpreted word. It's time for Oboehner to pause for a long beat, then say "Never mind".
Right, Cre(a)ti(o)nists like o Boner claim this universe was thought up by an invisible man nobody has ever seen.
That's their fantasy story and they're sticking to it.
This makes sense, in his terms, if you read it closely (except for the part about nobody seeing speciation!) You see, he's not talking about evolution, he's talking about evolutionISM. Which, as far as I can figure out, is the fundie name for something along the lines of "materialistic strong atheism". Never mind that that's not what the REST OF THE WORLD means when they're talking about evolution, and never mind that by his definitions, you don't actually have to be an "evolutionist" to believe in evolution.
Uh, and never mind that I feel like smacking myself after typing that last part, because it sounds so damn stupid.

That was Emily Litella who said "never mind." Roseanne Roseannadanna was the one who said, "It's always something."
Oh!boner being an ungodly obstinate idiot again... What else is new?
Seriously, is it that hard for fundies to grasp that cosmology, abiogenesis, and evolution are completely different things? I mean, even by their logic, admitting they're different does not automatically make them true. The least they can do is try to sound like they know what they're talking about.
"That's their story and they're sticking to it."
No, Obo! It's "That's my version of their story and I'm sticking to it."
Oboehner was my favourite Christian News Network plaything for the longest time. But he sticks to a handful of platitudes and never alters them. To him, no one will ever prove evolution (which is just faith), a Catholic will never be a Christian, and homosexuals will always be pedophiles. When I do engage him, I point out that even if all that crap was true, it doesn't alter that his own position is just FAITH too.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
