Being a cop doesn’t mean he gives up his rights to speak his peace off duty.
The proper response to the PCdiots is to laugh in their faces and mock them.
Not to try to get along with them or even tolerate them (personally, I’d fire someone for being politically correct).

Once again: Aren't YOU PC by doing all of that (just with a different and dare I say worse political agenda)? You lot don't even know or don't even care what PC is at this point anymore, don't you? It's just "everything anyone slightly left from me or who disagrees with me says", isn't it? The hypocrisy of the alt-right right here ladies and gentleman.
If we use the ACTUAL definition and not the "EVERRE1 HU RNT LIKE MEEE" one, you'd fire someone going out of their way to avoid offending or excluding anyone . You, OP, are an idiot.
@ChrisBP747
Please don't use the term "Alt-Right"; It gives them legitimacy. Use the old standbys of NeoFascist, NeoNazi, Wingnut, Bigot or whatever. "Alt-Right" is a term THEY invented to sound "legit". Don't give them "legitamacy".
Likewise; Never describe Male Supremacists as "Men's Rights Activists/MRAs". "Male Supremacist Assholes/MSAs" would be more apt. They want PRIVILEGES, not RIGHTS.
And if this jerk were to fire someone for being a real human being and not a bigot, he'll be hearing from the other person's lawyer!
Idiot.
Unless your employee - you know, the guy who runs your hotdog stand while you piss (or so people can hope) - says he's PC, how would you know? Follow his Facebook and fire him for being inoffensive when off the clock? I thought he had a right to say his "peace" (sic) while on his own time...or maybe that only applies when you agree with someone, you hypocritical imbecile.
@SpukiKitty
Don't be angry with me if I still call them that, even though you are mostly right about this. By pointing out that the "alt-right" is just as bad as any other neonazi organization we can stop them from trying to paint themselves as "alternatives". If we don't call them alt-right like they do, they will always be able to blame us for slandering them. Trust me, I've seen this with the alt-right here in Germany. Once we make it clear that the alt-right is just another nazi organization we can resume to calling them just that. But that's only my opinion. Feel free to disagree. On the other hand I agree with you fully when it comes to "MRA's".
"the PCdiots"
Another case of someone claiming to be 'oppressed by political correctness' out of insult that social acceptance is dropping for
- ridiculing or harrassing someone for being different
or/and
- going by the attitude that someone else is lower in an alleged social hierarchy, so the Rurudyne counterparts have total freedom of action towards them, save for any restrictions they deign to *impose upon themselves* on a 'THAT wouldn't be *funny*, it would just be DISGUSTING!' basis. And don't those folks forget it!!
"PCdiots"
*Dies of Cringe*
Good thing an asshole like you will not likely be in a position to fire someone. You sound like a walking HR violation. Hope you enjoy the unemployment line.
@Spukikitty
Can I just stick with "Assholes"? That seems a nice blanket term.
"... (personally, I’d fire someone for being politically correct)"
...because THAT would be the "politically correct" action to take in your tight-assed, redneck, ignorant and uncaring corner of the swamp. "Politically correct" is a culture-determined characteristic, with wide variability. Y'see, it gets pretty complicated...
Hey Rurudyne, that street goes both ways. If I was your employer and saw this post, by your logic, I can fire you. Depending on where I am, some areas would let me do that without consequences.
Police officers still have their powers even when off -duty.
Also their responsibilities .
Certainly their individual image when it comes to the force as a whole.
Just ask police helicopter pilots who perved on people whilst on duty .
Even off-duty, they'll never be able to shake off their prevert image to the rest of the British public.
There's an extremely good reason why the latter word in 'Politically Correct ' exists.
Sure beats being wrong .
What all about all your Alternative Political Correctness, e.g. "Physical Removal" instead of "purge" or "mass murder of dissidents", "Pick-Up Artist" instead of "skirtchaser", "race realism" instead of "racism"...
"Being a cop doesn’t mean he gives up his rights to speak his peace off duty."
In some cases, as a government employee, yes it does.

The good news is the media is beginning to point that out, even some Republican figures have distanced their-selves from the Alt-Right charade. Slowly people who identified as Alt-Right are beginning to walk as they see how racist and hate filled the movement is.
It's reminiscent of the Tea-Party collapse, where people began making excuses for the Klan and Nazis within but increasingly those ashamed of it slithered off, feeling betrayed and left those 'small segment' as the voice of the party. It fell apart reduced to that, the great thing about militias and all RW racist groups is they can't get along, too much of their membership is all about not getting along and blanket intolerance. Many militia or RW associations end with infighting.
If this event has less Anti-Fa, the Alt-Right would have had fights among their-selves, probably did but it's been overshadowed by their assault on others, they came geared for trouble, they wanted shit to go down. I'm betting the organizers had rebuttle stories and articles on their persecution already written. (That's actually common with them, a few cases of a story accidently being posted a day before the event are documented)
Don't you mean "speak his piece"?
Being a person of authority at work carries with it responsibilities off-work too.
You'd fire someone for behaving like a decent human being? That's basically what PC (used to) mean.
What do you do with people who are Politically Wrong?
So you'd fire someone for not using slurs instead of socially-acceptable terms? That says a lot about you.
Also, the hypocrisy is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Confused?
