Sorry, some people are going to be pissed. I got nothing against gays, just confuses me how gays are considered normal thing.
Clearly, its not meant to be. Humans are meant to reproduce.
You cant do that with the same gender as you. Some people say, "Well some animals are homosexual". And? Like nature cant have beings that are mentally ill?
Again, I got nothing against homosexuals. I've known a few homosexuals.

I got nothing against gays
....then goes on, a few sentences later, to basically call them mentally ill. Oooooh-kay then.
Also, the last two sentences are just stupid. I thought that excuse usually went "some of my best friends are (insert name of group you're trying to claim not being prejudiced against here)". That at least KIND OF makes some sense. But so what if someone has JUST KNOWN a few (insert name of group again here)? I've known a few racists; that doesn't mean I don't have anything against them.
(more than a few really...)
Sir Elton John & David Furnish. They have two sons.
Your call.
ItsaBerkalot, I've worked with homosexuals. I know homosexuals. Homosexuals are friends of mine. Itsaberkalot, you're no human . [/Lloyd Bentsen]
There are many evolutionary advantages to having a certain, small percentage of the population mate with their own sex. In a species like our own, with an emphasis on community and raising children from birth to adulthood (as opposed to other species who have hundreds of kids at once then leave them to fend for themselves, and only a few survive) then having a group of childless couples to care for the children of others who cannot -either through death or neglect- serves a vital evolutionary function.
Yes, humans are meant to reproduce. Humans are also supposed to raise kids. Some humans reproduce, but cannot raise the kids. Some humans cannot reproduce, but can raise kids. Nature balances itself out.
Kind of obvious if you think about it.
Best of "I've got nothing against homosexuals, but...".
Who states that humans have to reproduce? If at all, that would be nature, which you yourself dismiss as important for the discussion (rightfully so).
You should actually talk to homosexuals for once and not just look at your gay neighbors in disgust and then state that "I've known a few homosexuals". No, you definitely don't.
"Clearly, its not meant to be. Humans are meant to reproduce."
Maybe homosexuality *is* meant to function as a safety valve against overpopulation.
There are many people who will never reproduce for a variety of reasons. They are all not allowed to love and be loved because of that, on your say so? Have you been psychologically evaluated? Be sure before you judge, you "could" be delusional.
Artificial insemination.
Surrogacy.
Adoption (legal for gay people in most states).
Discoveries that homosexual animals in nature are still capable of raising children and often take in orphans (a homosexual trio of papa ducks is actually better at parenting ducklings than a heterosexual pair, as papa ducks are more protective and watchful of their children than mama ducks).
The "humans have to raise children and reproduce!!!" was BS before all these technological, legal, cultural, and scientific advances occurred. But now its BS and scientifically inaccurate-- humans no longer have to have sex with their opposite-gendered partner to reproduce nor is it any longer the consensus of the scientific community that homosexuality is a mental illness in humans or in nature.
Gays are not considered things, asshole; they're human beings.
If humans are meant to reproduce, how come hubby and me haven't reproduced even though we haven't used any form of contraceptives since 1998?
Well, I've known a few homophobes, and I DO have something against them. Like their lack of respect for human rights.
You have nothing against homosexuals, but you think they are mentally ill? That IS having something against them, you dolt!
Confused?
