Fox News host Eric Bolling’s monologue Thursday on “The Specialists” advised his fellow “deplorables” to ignore the polls showing that President Donald Trump’s favorability is falling, and instead, look to the crowds at his rallies.

“If you listen to the media,” he said, “all they seem to want to do is repeatedly cry ‘Russia Russia Russia.’ They even claim Trump’s approval rating is tanking because of Russia.”

“But something isn’t adding up again,” Bolling added.

“Take a look at scenes from President Trump Wednesday night in Ohio,” he continued. “Just look at those crowds. Listen to them for a a second. I’m gonna double down on a call I made over a year ago.

“Watch the people, not the polls,” he said.

“This president is popular with the people, not the New York crowd or the L.A. crowd, and certainly not the mainstream media, maybe not some people on this set,” he said, referring to his co-hosts and guests, “but real people. Middle American people. People who care about their families’ bottom lines, their wages, and whether or not they can buy their kids back-to-school supplies and maybe a new outfit for the first day of class.

“That’s what matters to America, the real America,” he said. “They really don’t give a damn about Russia, period.”

Bolling went on to criticize an editorial by The Washington Post, decrying Trump’s address to the Boy Scouts of America.

“Seriously, WashPo? Now you have a problem with the Boy Scouts?” he said.

“Ya just don’t get it,” he mocked, “media and liberals. America loves a president who addresses the Boy Scouts. And to my fellow deplorables, stop listening to the fake news media, the propaganda news media, watch the people, not the polls.

“Trust me, you’ll get called names, you’ll get ridiculed, you’ll be made fun of, and in the end you’ll be right — and the emphasis is on right.”

A recent Reuters poll found that Trump’s favorability had fallen to 35 percent of Americans, a historically low level for a new president.

Yes Trump is going to have his loyal followers that flock to see him. There's about twenty three percent of voters who said that they would support Trump no matter what. That still doesn't change the fact that he is one of the least popular presidents in recent times, and his favorability has dropped significantly since the day he was sworn in.

My favourite part is surely this:

This president is popular with the people, not the New York crowd or the L.A. crowd, and certainly not the mainstream media, maybe not some people on this set,” he said, referring to his co-hosts and guests, “but real people. Middle American people. People who care about their families’ bottom lines, their wages, and whether or not they can buy their kids back-to-school supplies and maybe a new outfit for the first day of class.

Ahhh, how to parse that mess.

Today we have learned that those who oppose Trump aren't real people, are usually wealthier than those who are real people; and that salt-of-the-Earth folks – those who scramble to buy school supplies and who were uninsured before the ACA – show up in great numbers to pay homage to a wretched, unstable war-mongering billionaire with access to nuclear launch codes.

Cameras can make a small crowd look much larger, but numbers - numbers not tampered with by an aggressive foreign power, at least - don't lie.

It's a good thing media are starting to focus on Russia, Russia, Russia, because that's where the guy who bought his office is selling pieces of the United States.

The Blaze? Why would Glenn Beck allow trump praising on his site? He hates Trump?

Oh the Russia incident has nothing to do with Trump's tanking popularity. It's his mess of a command staff followed by the actions of his followers. The Russia thing isn't that important.

"“Seriously, WashPo? Now you have a problem with the Boy Scouts?” he said. "

Are you that illiterate? At what point has anyone criticized the Boy Scouts (well, about Trump). All the criticism has been aimed AT trump, for turning a speech in front of a bunch of children into one or your campaign rallies.

You're kidding, right? There was only half a hall filled in Phoenix, and when they wanted to show all the ”cheering crowds" outside in the streets, they reported to stealing photos of the Cleveland parade for LeBron James, with no apparent embarrassment.

That's all he has left.

Fact: Richard 'I Am Not A Crook' Nixon's approval rating was higher than Donald Fart's ever was. And that was prior to his resignation after Watergate.

all they seem to want to do is repeatedly cry ‘Russia Russia Russia.’

What's just happened in Kenya: their recent elections legally overturned. Question:

Was it wrong to nullify Uhuru Kenyatta's election after voting irregularities?

Because you know what happens when a country interferes with the electoral process of another: and a candidate knows, nay, is involved with the one interfering; can you say 'E-mails'...?!

'Tis a fact that Donald Fart has been involved with the Mob. After all: Russia - certainly the Mafiya - are the only ones left who will give him loans.

And that's being extremely generous.

Trump didn't won the election through the electoral college; he definitively lost the popular vote. The turnout at his inauguration was so low as to be embarrassing. His numbers have done nothing but go sharply down since.

I think you people should realize that Trump is the greatest President we have ever had! He will make America great again!...Nah, just kiddin', he's a frightful embarrassment and totally incompetent.

My mom doesn't like you and she's a committed Republican.

Face ot, Trump, nobody really likes you because of you!

@Kanna

And he again said in Phoenix, as he does in every rally "Look at this crowd! CNN won't show this crowd and the thousands waiting outside" When the last three events had below capacity attendance.
He took credit for the Jamboree size which was only because of the event itself.
Why would even his die hard fans even go? He's been giving the same basic victory speech since January, the same whinefest and name calling, he'll never grow up!

And as for FoxNews, they're on a regular program of shaming anyone who doesn't support him and who have seen the folly of voting for him. They actually think chastising people for not worshipping him will work, they know his base are childlike responders to authority.

At this point they must know the voters he's lost won't come back and the best they can do is support the base in their own petulant language.

There is nothing wrong with the Boy Scouts, there is something wrong with turning meeting into another Trump victory rally.

So, people in New York and Los Angeles are fake Americans, who don't care about their families' bottom lines or their kids? Only the ones in the Middle counts?

The Post article on the Boy Scouts was critical of Trump and his remarks, not the Scouts. He will not be invited back.

"Real Americans" are whoever is a U.S. citizen. There's nothing special about the Heartland other than a lamentable lack of awareness of the world beyond their borders.
