People like to focus on two things about Stalin:

1-the famines during 1932-1933.
2- The Purges from 1936-1938.

The famines: It was a natural disaster (not man made) made worse by the Soviet Union being forced to export grain to put the Soviet Union in the exact situation that happened in 1932-1933. However, the Soviets tried as much as possible (even importing grain to the help alleviate the famine). Also another video that shows info the Capitalists don't want to mention because it breaks the illusion that they have been building. Also no mentions of kulaks burning crops and killing livestock instead of giving that food to starving citizens.

The purges: TFB made a series of 3 video that greatly explain the purges. Here is the first part that explains how deep and complicated the purges were. The Capitalists -again- don't mention that the working class took part in those purges as opposed to the Capitalists's false narrative that it was Stalin terrorizing the Soviet people.

Also Capitalists like to mention Gulags every time. So here is a proper research that explains the Soviet Penal System, as it wasn't only Gulags like most people are led to believe and it shows the numbers that were imprisoned based on evidence from the Soviet archives that were opened in 1989. The numbers weren't as high so some "historians" like to estimate like Robert Conquest (a guy that was paid by the British government to write anticommunist propaganda) who claims 7-8 millions.

two things about Stalin

Stalin was an extremely paranoid nutjob who forced his way up the ladder of a strange rigid, paranoid, and overly bureaucratic system and once at the top used deadly force and terror to stay there. He made Trump look like a poster child of self-criticism.

It was a natural disaster (not man made) made worse by the Soviet Union being forced to export grain to put the Soviet Union in the exact situation that happened in 1932-1933.

An English sentence like that would have made my fourth grade teacher go ballistic and I would have had extra homework for weeks. Please learn your language before you use it.

@Shepherd Solus

This drives me nuts.

Oh, bullshit. The gulags were a mind-sucking, feces-coated hell - and eight million is probably close to accurate.

Defenders of Stalin? Defenders of Hitler on the other side? Maybe they can get together and kill each other off.

Well, technically they're right; Stalinism isn't really communism. What they FAIL to mention is that so far, every attempt to try real communism has resulted in the country falling to Stalinist dictators, which suggests there's a problem with communism itself...

I focus on one thing: he's dead.

I focus on him being a failure of a leader. Those two issues were on him to some degree but he had other failed programs. I also focus on his being dead which I find to be good thing
