(This fundie is talking about a incident in Paris that led to a cop being horribly burned)

Honestly I feel bad for the human being under the title of "cop." He didn't deserve to get burned.

However, this was an act of resistence. The protesters were being kettled, gassed and hit with batons. Police officers should know very well that they're the enforcers of state and corporate oppression and are therefore targets to those they would seek to oppress.

It's regrettable that this happened and it makes no sense to revel in mindless violence, but it was also an act of resistence and a relatively minor one at that.

The 41-year-old police officer, who remains unidentified, suffered third-degree burns to his hands and neck, as well as second-degree burns to the face.

Show us how this is "relatively minor" by bathing in gas and setting yourself on fire.

So you feel bad for him, but not really. Interesting. It's almost like you don't feel bad at all.

If my memories are accurate, this indident was about felony and misdemeanor (I am not familiar with english legalese).

Nothing about oppression and repression of demonstration.

The only one being oppressed is Theresa May Not.

Police were required to deal with Mods vs. Rockers in the 1960s as they fought each other, creating Anarchy, at Brighton Beach. These days, Mods & Rockers - as Scooter & Motorcycle Clubs - ride together in their mutual two-wheeled interests (with friendly banter being the extent of any 'rivalry') there; usually fundraising for various charities. The whole thing pre-arranged with the local police, and their appearance there is to marshall the event & maintain traffic safety.

A certain Dead Woman Walking would certainly need police protection, if she were to appear very soon at Brighton Beach.

All the while Jeremy Corbyn laughed at her: whilst walking on the water. [/Conference Season]

Especially as two of the three constituency seats at Brighton - where his party's conference is this year - are Labour; the other the Green Party's.

Moral: As proved after 8th June, Democracy can be infinitely more lethal than violence.
