Quote# 131598

working on. Science has been working on that for centuries, and it has been questioned since time began. And look at that, they still have not found what they have been working on.
But they found evidence that there was one cell organisms at one point in time. Wow. there are STILL one cell organisms.
Just because there were one cell organisms then proves nothing because they still exist. All that record is able to be is that there was at that point in time, it does not prove it did not exist before that. Besides, God didn't use the one cell splitting process. He made man and woman without that but put it into our beings to be able to reproduce and populate the world. It worked too.
You really sound like you feel you are better than believers in God and that is sad, because even Jesus felt we were all equal and that we should all love each other.
"You" can keep searching for all the answers you want, but unless God chooses to open your eyes to things, you won't understand. We all have things that happen in our lives that we do not understand why they happened, and we are supposed to find out those reasons when we are in heaven. I don't know if they find that out in hell though.
It is sad because it sounds like you will die never knowing (while you were alive) that there is a God who loves you. When your dead, it will be too late.

This is the kind of thing that makes me die inside.

Another "Science and its findings are incompatible with faith" type... With some "mysterious ways" and "everything happens for a reason" thrown in just `cause.

Here's a thought: maybe Genesis is not literal. And maybe things that happen have mundane explanations. And maybe the patterns people like you keep trying to see are all in your heads. Just saying it's worth considering.

Science says that once upon a time, there was NOTHING BUT one-celled organisms, dolt.

There is no evidence whatsoever for any gods or goddesses.

If we sound like we are better than deluded fundies, it's because we are (generally) better informed than deluded fundies.

According to the Bible, God didn't feel that we should all love each other. A woman who's not a virgin on her wedding night is to be taken to her father's house and be stoned by the men in the town. Where's the love in that? And what about a man who's not a virgin?

What if heaven doesn't exist? Then you have gone through life not understanding anything, being oblivious to all the wonders of nature that science can show you, and then you just cease to exist.

If there is a god who loves me, it won't matter whether I know that, it should be sufficient that he does.

"...unless God chooses to open your eyes to things, you won't understand."

I understand. But until YOU open your biology textbook, YOU won't understand.

Doubting Thomas

And you will die and realize all too late that there is no God, only total oblivion of death.

Thinking Allowed

Substituting one celled organisms for monkeys doesn't change the fallacy.

This is the stupidity that recharges my batteries. This is the stupidity that keeps me coming back.

Question: If all lifeforms that exist today were as the result of a 'Creator' doing his hocus-pocus several thousand years ago, how do you account for the bacteria which eats Nylon: a man-made substance which didn't exist before the early-mid 20th Century?

Take a look at the smoke detector you have on your ceiling.

The Americium in it's ioniser. An isotope that does not exist in nature: it is purely man-made.

That alone proves that - as humans are creators - your 'God' is now inferior to his 'creation'.

I refer you to all those Challenger IIs here in Britain, M1 Abrams in the US, Leclercs in France, Leopard IIs in Germany, Merkavas in Israel, T-90s in Russia, Type 99s in China, and Pokpung Hos in North Korea.

Because of Judges 1:19, your 'Creator' had better admit his inferiority to his creation and fuck off in the general direction of away from Earth - because of al these Iron Chariots we have, making him our bitch - if he knows what's good for him.

The modern-day Iron Chariot was created here in Britain in WWI. The above Challemger II God-Killer today. In Soviet Britain, God worships you.

I refer you to the manga/light novels/anime "Banner/Crest of the Stars": The human-made space elves - Abh - became superior to their creators.

Another "I'm afraid of reality & chance, therefore science doesn't know anything & magic exists" coward.

Happy Atheist

So I don't believe in your god because he hasn't opened my eyes to him.

And I go to Hell if I don't believe.

So it's entirely in your god's hands whether or not I go to Hell, and not my responsibility at all?

Yeah, in truth I do ponder myself intellectually above your lot, in most cases morally as well since I`m not a hypocrite which is your favourite christian activity.

Philbert McAdamia

When your dead, it will be too late.

My dead what? My dead ass? My watch dies and I will be too late? WTF?

If human stupidity could be harnessed to produce energy...

It is sad because it sounds like you will die never knowing (while you were alive) that there is a God who loves you. When your dead, it will be too late.

I'll bet you will die never knowing many things.

Why does God have to literally create everything? Why are you so emotionally invested in this?

9/13/2017 2:51:49 PM

Wow. there are STILL one cell organisms.

Of which your brain is apparently proof.

Oh hell. I talked to this person before, and I thought he/she was pretty level headed, fairly liberal, and such.....so close yet so far, I guess.
