Quote# 131620

I think the London mayor Saddiq Khan should be asked about this by a reporter with lots of cameras on:

“Mr. Khan – the Belgian mayor had his throat slit by a Muslim. Is that PART & PARCEL OF LIVING IN A BIG CITY?!”

Then if he dodges that question, ask him if it’d be PART & PARCEL if his own throat were slit?!

Increased risk of terrorism is to be expected in a big city. I don't understand the issue?

I feel like you're trying to make some kind of point but failing spectacularly.

I think was the OP is trying to say is, "Mr. Khan, you've said that an increased risk of terrorism is part and parcel of living in a big city. Would you say the same thing if you were a victim of it?"

Uhm, if he's talking about what I think he's talking about, then Muslims have nothing to do with what happened. It was just a troubled kid who blamed the mayor for his father's suicide. Not saying that's better, just saying there were no Muslims or even terrorism involved at all.

You know I remember a guy in Colorado shooting up a Planned Parenthood. Another running over protesters, another bombing Olympic Park and another bombing the Alfred P Murrah building. Is that PART AND PARCEL OF LIVING IN A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY?!

Note I know we are secular but fundies don't think so

Oh, I dunno...:

...just ask the readers of "GQ" magazine.

Also those who voted him in as Mayor: mainly white Londoners.

That reason is why your 'argument' will always have it's throat slit: as those whites who don't think like you - and never will - represent the ultimate paradox for the likes of you.

Sadiq Khan is why your 'agenda' is dying: certainly after Charlottesville.

Just ask those who voted for Jo Cox after what one of your kind did to that Labour MP.

Sadiq is a member of the Labour Party too.

You know what happened to former senior member of the neo-Nazi National Front Nige FaRAGE a few months ago, do you not? And why the same Conservative government you would have prayed to have destroyed Jeremy Corbyn on 8th June had, late last year, declared Nazis - including National Action - to be officially terrorists.

I refer you to a certain Thomas Mair. Ergo your entire 'argument', re. Sadiq Khan, has no right to exist.

Indeed: it deserves to have it's throat slit.

It's part & parcel of living in a world with a Nazi-lover in the White House.

Big cities are big targets. That is what Kahn meant. I don't get the issue.

And Harvey Milk was shot 5 times by a white Christian. Pim Fortuyn was similarly murdered by a distinctly not Muslim Dutchman. Do you care? Is that indicative of the masses? How about the millions of not-Muslim crimes? No?

9/13/2017 4:29:28 PM

Skios

Pim Fortuyn was shot by an animal rights activist with mental problems, to be precise.

As for the incident this poster is describing...

The suspect had the distinctly non-Islamic first name of Nathan (Belgian press generally only releases the first name and first letter of the last name of a suspect in a criminal case). Furthermore, the reason he cut the mayor's throat was simple revenge. The suspect's father had been fired as a fireman a few years previous, sunk into a depression over the firing, and eventually committed suicide. The boy blamed the mayor and sought revenge against him. He even went so far as to wait until he was eighteen to minimize the consequences of his actions for his mother.

Doubting Thomas

You really think terrorists are going to get as much notice if they commit a terror act in Bumfuck, Iowa? There's a reason they are attracted to larger cities, because there are more potential targets.

Typical right-wing paranoia mongering. Attribute any despicable act to Muslim terrorists whether the perpetrators were Muslim or not and whether it was an act of terrorism or not.
