I remember an episode of "Ab Fab" in which whatshername wasn't unhappy that her daughter was pregnant by a black man, because a little black baby was that season's must-have fashion accessory. That, of course, was parody, and very funny. You took it seriously, and missed.
I'm a lot more likely to believe the parents are acting in the best interests of "little what's-its-name" than *you* fucking are, OP.
Beyond that, I believe the privacy and safety of transkids is better served by their going through the various checks and balances in near-secret for the time being; until the children grow into teenagers, at least, these attempts are best done safely.
I don't like it, that secrecy seems best, but I like it far less when (a) a child too young to handle it finds him/herself pelted with anti-gay slurs, or (b) when some parents use their child either as a teaching opportunity for others or as an ego-boost for themselves:

A child whose first serious experience with trans - and it's not even clear from the article if the kid is actually trans - was for him to develop the poorly-named feminine side as "Lactatia" and trial this first effort, with parental permission, before the world. (If it's any consolation, I hate child beauty pageants as well, and for similar reasons.)

Really, just shut up. You don't have the slightest idea about the lives of transgender children, about basic fucking parenting, about the way human interpersonal relationships work, about values and attitudes of left-wing people, about the way group dynamics work etc. Literally, just about every single word there just opens a new way for you to manage to be wrong in, thus condensing more wrong in two sentences than many fundies here manage in entire blocks of paragraphs. Quite an impressive achievement to be honest, considering how utterly pathetic your lilliputian mental capacities almost surely are.
