Quote# 132761

People are always going on about how weird another person's sexuality is, but people rarely try to explain their sexuality. They just make the confusion worse by answering with "Because I like it."

For example, I am anime-heterosexual. I'm heterosexual, but I don't find real women attractive. Only anime women.

Can I explain that? Of course I can. Real women are so fat and full of imperfections, whereas anime women have sexy body shapes, perfect skin, big and beautiful eyes and often even uniquely colored hair to express their personality.

Not to mention, anime women are far more interesting, intelligent and kind. The only things real women care about are makeup, fashion and gossip.

I could never have sex with a real woman or I would vomit, I'd only ever have sex with a beautiful anime woman.

Now it's your turn, explain your sexuality.

That's not really explaining your sexuality. That's rationalizing your anger.

Didn't this guy admit to being a troll? This is a little too much of a stereotypical weeb shit to be taken seriously.

No. Your only sexual thrill is with inanimate pixels, and I'm not going to help you.

At least you've decided to avoid women, rather than make yourself (and them) miserable.

So kudos on that!

Actually, he might be ace. Deviantart won't let me anon, though. It's normal for asexual people to find flaws in the real and idolize the imaginary as a way of avoiding having to have sex. Also normal to be terrified of\repulsed by the opposite sex; you're terrified someone will ask for something you can't give. Of course, you have to also recognize it and move on...

Womankind and the gene pool both sighted with relief.

Now it's your turn, explain your sexuality.

Well, I'm just your normal heterosexual monogamous family man, longing to find a female kindred spirit, settle down with her, have children with her, and go through the adventure of life as two true companions till the bitter end.
While I, of course, do have certain physical traits I find attractive and others that I find offputting, all in all, appearence is of very low priority to me. Besides, my standards of beauty are not particularly narrow.
While some may call my sexuality boring - indeed, I suspect some of them may invent exotic sexual identities for themselves for exactly this reason -, but, if anything, I am glad to have at least one aspect of my life that is simple and straightforward.

As somebody who is asexual and figured it out from research, this isn't as absurd as you might think. There are no shortage of people who are asexual but still masturbate and/or have sexual fantasies. Usually they have a very narrow and limited range of fetishes but not always. People who do not know what asexuality is or do not fully understand how asexuality works but are asexual often claim to be a variant of heterosexual, pansexual, and/or homosexual because that's pretty much what they are. A person with elements of asexuality and elements of another sexuality.

However, knowing the person who is saying this, there is indeed a good chance that this is just a weeb thing. Damn you Poe's law.
