How do we justify hiring people to uphold our laws when they DO NOT believe in man made laws? This whole idea of Muslims serving in Govt and law enforcement is ludicrous.

I thought it was Christians who didn't agree with man made laws.

Only atheists can serve in law-enforcement, then, I guess.

Ask many Christians and they will tell you they don't trust man made laws ether and value the laws of God over the laws of men.

You know there is no religious litmus test right? Even atheists and Pagans can serve just as well as a Jew or Muslim. And do Christians not say they are bound to god's laws and not man's when it comes to serving LGBT?

The current - and democratically elected - Mayor of London is a member of the Labour Party, and fully supports the leader, and therefore policies, of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition in Parliament, the centre of Britain's system of government based on Rule of Law: and the protection of the Queen's Peace as enforced by, in this case, the Metropolitan Police. The Mayor of London has power over the capital's police force; he has given Scotland Yard free rein in the investigation, arrest & conviction of Islameist terrorists.

The Mayor even has a Fatwa out on him for his pro-LGBT policies.

Do you want the bad news, t. Rube...?!

Gee, who else fits that description? Substitute "fundie Christians", and the VP, all of the cabinet, and most of the GOP come to mind.

You think that's bad? You should see the mess the Christians have made of things!

There can be overlap between secular law and the beliefs of a theist. Sure, a large number of Muslims do want law to reflect a strict interpretation of their faith, and they shouldn't be in law enforcement or the government, but Muslims have a diversity of thought. Some cherry pick out some laws and others don't see fit to push their beliefs on others; I don't see why it's ludicrous for them to serve in government and law. Sadiq Khan is a prominent example of a Muslim who doesn't enforce his doctrine on others and is flexible with a secular system.
