Lately I've been thinking about the scenario where there will be more transitioning (and subsequently sterile) children than there are ones who don't succumb to the pressure. As far as I know, haven't the ratios of Ls to Gs to Bs been conistent throughout the years? Obviously, if you go back a few decades it was not safe to be out. But this ratio has not really changed much in recent times.
The T ratio, however, is undergoing an explosion--which of course indicates what everyone here already knows: this is unnatural and a contagion. I believe eventually we will get to the point where transgender children will outnumber natal female/male children—maybe this will be the Transgender Tipping Point? Would this over time lead to significant population decreases due to an overwhelming amount of children being sterilized?
I do believe there are actual transgender people. In a perfect utopia, we wouldn't concern ourselves with things as trite as gender, but unfortunately we don't live in that world. However, it doesn't take much intelligence to start questioning why Mary became Marty in class, followed by Sarah being Seth or Billy becoming Bianca—

It's not a fad. It's not a casual snap decision made because "my friends are all doing it, so why not". It's a major life change, done after months of medical and mental study, and sometimes after years of anguish. And anybody who thinks it's a burgeoning trend needs their head examined. Do you personally know any transgender people? ...I thought not.
Think a minute: people who have what they themselves feel is the "wrong body" are in many cases going to be the people who do not marry and do not have children anyway. Ditto for people who have been closeted homosexuals: a high percentage of them would never have entered the breeding pool at all. Now stop obsessing about something that simply isn't a big problem.
Succumb to what pressure? If there is any pressure, it's to conform to the binary boy/girl standard.
The "ratio" is very shaky, as no-one knows how many gays, lesbians and bisexuals there are, and where exactly to draw the line between different sexual orientations. So no, it hasn't been consistent in any way, shape or form. Some countries in the Middle East say they don't have any homosexuals. Period.
No, it's not an explosion. It's the same process as when homosexuality became more or less accepted; more people dared to come out, when they didn't risk imminent ostracize and/or death. So no, it's neither unnatural nor a contagion; they have always existed but have hidden their true selves more or less "sucessfully".
Some of you people said that when homosexuality was accepted, EVERYONE would become homosexuals. Which says more about people like you than you might want to divulge...
Why do we concern ourselves with something as trite as gender? We can also question why William becomes Billy, Margrethe becomes Molly, Suzanne becomes Sue.
Like a few decades ago with the gay, lesbians, and bisexuals, transgendered people are just beginning to come out because they fell safer than they were even 10 years ago. So the ratio hasn't changed with them as well.

This father hasn't concerned himself with the choice of his child's cosplay garb: because the boy's favourite comic/film character is Harley Quinn.
Are you concerned that said father - Liev Schreiber - voices a character in a film out now? Said character being the 'Storm King'. Sounds thoroughly manly, amirite?
In "My Little Pony: The Movie".
He is thoroughly secure in his sexuality: in more ways than one. The only 'Tipping Point' is when your being triggered about an issue that you have no right to 'be concerned about' descends into butthurt, nay, insanity based on how you are utterly impotent , re. Gender Politics: and how things are changing .

We all enjoy a bit of high fantasy every now and then.

So did the openly homosexual after society stopped imprisoning & murdering them for the "crime" of existing. People are more open about themselves when they don't fear for their very lives. Given how much of your group is gay, you have no valid excuse for not understanding this. But let's be honest: you do understand this. You're just a rotten, bigotted old bitch who's too cowardly to own it and thus hides behind bullshit, preferring to be seen as an idiot to being recognised as the very monster you claim to fight. Which is quite ironic when you think about it.
Well, at least they acknowledge transmen. More than we can usually say...
If you went back as little as 50 years, the data on the numbers of non-straight people would seem to indicate a lower incidence. Then there was an "explosion" in the population in around the turn of the millennium (mostly just before). Does that mean that people just suddenly decided they weren't straight?
You can't find statistics to justify your claims. You're just pulling assumptions out of your ass to support your view, and covering it with "as far as I know". And worse, you're using the exact same arguments that were used against homosexuals (and in some places, still are). It's almost like you haven't learned from the various civil rights movements, including your own.

Err, no it's not
