I thought nothing could compel me to become a Reddit user, but it seems I was wrong. Been lurking here for almost a year, and if any sub on Reddit could inspire me to create an account, it is this one. Haven't personally experienced a "peak trans" moment, mainly because I've never considered transgenderist ideology to have any sort of legitimacy.

Politically, I am and was a Marxist(-Leninist) prior to being exposed to transactivism, and the two ideologies are quite simply irreconcilable, what with Marxism being based on materialism, and genderist thought residing firmly in the realm of idealism. I'm also male, and correspondingly socialized, so I've never felt a need to hide or obscure my views for the sake of being "nice" or to coddle men's feelings.

I've noticed a disturbing trend where people who call themselves Marxists, my supposed comrades, are increasingly pandering to transactivists and parroting the regressive ideas of genderist ideology. This makes no sense to me; Not only is it impossible to simultaneously accept a materialist worldview and believe in the doctrine of gender identity, but transactivism is also so blatantly misogynistic, homophobic and racist that I cannot fathom how someone who claims to be a communist could be a-OK with, and even take part in, such reactionary politics.

Being exposed to this bullshit has slowly but surely made me convinced that Marxism is virtually worthless as a tool to change the world for the better, if it is not combined with unequivocal support for radical feminism and radfems. We can wage revolution and build socialism perfectly fine without fetishistic and narcissistic men in dresses, but we can't do it without women.
