48% is not a Majority. A Postal Survey Rort with Fraud isnt a Plebiscite. No Deal. #auspol #politas

Ah yes, another dumbass argument from "math" by ignoring everything but one factor and rejecting the obvious overall context. Let's have a look at *all * the numbers shall we?

Sure looks to me like you'd need almost every single registered voter who didn't vote to have voted NO for NO to have wound up on top. (literally, approximately 95%)
Raise your hand if you are too dumb to understand reality and think that could have actually happened in this universe or any other.
Those of you that have your hand up please wait for someone to come to your seat and place a dunce cap on your head and escort you to the nearest corner of the room for a little quiet time so you can reflect on this failure of basic logic and reason.
(of course there are other arguments against this obvious nonsense I just took the pure numbers route)
In elections, it's only the ones who actually vote that count.
Just check out the US election last year; barely fifty percent managed to go out and vote, and less than half of the ones who voted chose the Orange Clown. But, he's the one sitting there in the Oval Office anyway.
Where's the fraud in people disregarding their right and duty to vote? If you don't take the time, you're in effect saying that you'll agree with the outcome.
What everyone before me said.
In the British debate over fox hunting this tactic was also used by both sides, with adverts and thousands of signs put up in public. (The fox won.)
48%
46% voted to Remain in the EU last year: including yours truly.
Therefore 'Brexit' should be scrapped?
It has to, according to your logic: and fuck the likes of Nige FaRAGE. But then, the DUP are raping his 'dream' to death, so there y'go.
61% in Ireland voted for S-SM to be legalised: and that referendum decided legislation.
If the people say there's nothing wrong with what goes against what you homophobes... er, I mean your 'God' doesn't like, then even your 'God' has no right to think otherwise. The will of the people is superior : and Romans 13:1-5 says that even your 'God' is forced to accept what we say....:

...Or Else. [/Judges 1:19]
Who voted for your 'God'...?!
How disingenuous. If anything, the non-votes of eligible voters would count as "don't care" and blank or invalid ballots as "I'm an idiot." You lost, diddums. Suck it up, and accept the reality that you and your bigotry are on the wrong side of history.
If the rest of them cared, they would have voted No.
They didn't, so they don't. Non-voters don't count, in any election.
@Swede
Amen! Now; There may be some who wanted to vote but were either too busy working, couldn't go to the polls or were suppressed in some way....but even then, many states (talking as a U.S. citizen) have Early Voting and plenty can vote just fine but would rather stay home because not every Democrat is Bernie Sanders. It's all really stupid.
The Indivisible Movement (and others) has been working on that, though and the antics of the GOP is sure to mobilize folks in 2018. There's still a HUGE chance for major housecleaning in 2018.
I could conceive of a voting system wherein an abstention counts as a vote for the status quo, whatever that may be. I'm not aware of anyone using that system in reality, no matter how much people who want things to change as little as possible might sometimes wish it worked that way. Also, that can cause issues where there is no meaningful "status quo" involved in the vote.
Marriage "Reality", you're telling a bunch of complete...fairytales. If those people chose not to vote - they didn't. Maths is obviously not your strong subject. Why don't you get a job as an accountant? Because that will only work until you're caught trying to cook the books.
Enjoy your whinging, sore loser. We do...Those of us who believe in equality for all adult Homo Sapiens, are CELEBRATING! Even now, it's like Cinderella, Puck and my Shakespearean namesake. "Now our nuptial hour, draws on apace".
@Swede
We have compulsory voting in elections here, unlike the US and no doubt Sweden. However this plebiscite was non-compulsory, but so many people rushed out to register, or ensure that they were registered.
But it was Rort with Fraud! Rort, I say, RORT with it!
(I'm sorry, I just like the way they spell that word.)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
