Most transwomen are vaginaphobes. You don't have a vagina, but wish you did, so any mention of vaginas makes the transperson feel excluded from womanhood. It's one reason the pink pussy hat was villified.

Uh you don't know what the word phobe means. It is short for phobia which means an irrational fear of something. If they wish they had a vagina then they don't have an irrational fear of a vagina now do they?

@creativerealms: Irrational fear, hatred, or revulsion. I mention this because some -phobes insist that they don't "fear" the target of their hatred and/or revulsion.

This one doesn't quite get how some trans people and allies don't like the use of vaginas, even abstractly, as a symbol of womanhood. Most transmen still have vaginas, but they're not women. Some transwomen don't, but they are. It has everything to do with the idea of "genitals aren't gender" and nothing to do with fear, hatred, or revulsion of vaginas in of themselves. Though this is a point of contention and debate; not all trans people or allies have a problem with it. Of course, most TERFs are too rabidly gender essentialist to grasp that distinction.
