Man: Your honor, I'm offended by In God We Trust.
Judge: I'm sure the plaintiffs are offended by YOU, but they aren't trying to shut you down. If you don't like your money, use a credit card.

Um, Mick, honey, darling - what about that pyramid on the US one dollar bill? I hear a lot of fundies don't like it, so I guess they too should stop using electronic money from private lenders (like credit card companies ).
Your illogic would weary Jesus.
There is a strong whiff of strawman to this as well.
NOBODY would say "I'm offended by 'In God We Trust'". It would be more like, I don't feel that it should be there, just as it wasn't prior to 1956, as religion has no place on our currency. It would at least give the bigoted judge in the picture something to debate rather than the "sit down, junior" dismissal he gets in Mick's stupid comic.
Asking to remove that phrase from the bill is shutting down what? The US Treasury? Who even is supposed to be the defendant here, anyway? I'm sure it will be removed eventually, but probably not by the courts - I'm guessing this is an issue for congress.
In Sweden we have a children's-book author, a troubadour, an actress, a director, an opera singer and a diplomat. Perfect equality; three women, three men. No gods of any kind, anywhere. If you are offended by the lack of religion, you can do as almost all Swedes do, and pay with a card. And no, we're not offended by the new bills, we're just practical and think cards are an easier way to pay.

I always wondered about that one, which god is it that you Americans trust in? Mammon?
We have Queen Lizzie, she's paid a few of my bills.

Also a few more great men and women, now even a few Aborigines now.
