It's funny how most commercials are focused on female products nowadays. It makes me think about the relation between feminism and big capitalists. Are they really concerned about gender equality? Or did they find out that women are easier targets (they buy useless stuff more often than men) due to their need to always get more actractive?

Nothing to do with feminism, You're watching soap operas or daytime talk shows. Now if you were watching football, the commercials would be for beer and cars.

Just Along For The Ride

Hate to break it to you, but feminism is not particularly good for business (depending on the business and how you look at it). There's a lot of internal disagreement within feminism about using makeup, but at the end of the day, feminism points out that it's okay not to use the stuff. BAM, less money lining the pockets of the top bods of the makeup companies.

Most commercials are marketed to the likeliest audience. If you're seeing feminine products, you're watching shows that have convinced advertisers that most of their audience are women.
You're seeing fewer cereal commercials for the same reason you're not seeing ads for four-wheel-drives.
