This issue bothers me, too. I have had a White guy tell me that he prefers Asian women; I'll never understand why. I don't find their facial features attractive in the slightest and recognize them as foreigners. Why would you turn down your own women to date a foreigner, someone who doesn't share your history, heritage, or culture? Do you really hate your own people that much?

I figure if they're good enough to date, then they're good enough to live amongst. Let these White men move to Asian countries and forgo the benefits of living in a country created by the White people they've shunned.

So your blatant xenophobia is so strong you simply cannot grasp why humans would want a relationship with anyone not the same as them? Possibly meaning someone farther removed than their own cousins?

...Damn, must suck to be you once we (hopefully) inevitably make first contact with a race of alien babes and masses upon masses of humans will bodly go.

What? I think we xenophiles are far more numerous than you and your xenophobic ilk.

But seriously, to me an attractive person is an attractive person, no matter what their ethnicity, background, or culture is. I mean have my preferences, yes (stereotypical nordic mainly), but it's not like that's all I want.

Wait, you're understanding is that if exotic women make his dick hard, that means he's 'shunning' women from his gene pool?

Is everything this much of a dichotomy in your world?
If I prefer Coke to Pepsi, do I need to move to Atlanta because I shun NYC?

De gustibus non est disputandum. I don't consider East Asian features attractive either, but different people have different tastes. How is that so hard to see?

[quote]someone who doesn't share your history, heritage, or culture?

Maybe, this particular different background IS the thing that charms him? Maybe, it's because they fit together regardless of their different backgrounds?

Do you really hate your own people that much?

Beiing interested in other cultures does not mean that one cannot appreciate one's own, let alone hating it,

What an appallingly small and narrow mind.

There are reasons to be leery of anyone who says a sentence like "prefers Asian women", considering that it's kind of tied to a lot of places, and is probably indicative of a fetish.

That being said, I've heard that China, Japan, Korea, and Thailand are pretty decent places to live. Each of them has their downsides: China's cities have the worst air quality in the world, Japan has some of the highest cost of living, Thailand has terrible traffic, and Korea is on a border with the worst neighboring country ever. But the US has the worst education system, the UK (and Greece) have been economically uncertain, France has a big strike like every few months, and you get the idea; every country has its downsides.

So, yeah, if they're good enough to date, then maybe they are good enough to live with.

I am married to an Indonesian and we live in Hong Kong.

No problem.

@pyro: The worst education system in the world is officially Niger's. Yes, that we're beating the heart of the third world is nothing to cheer about, but exaggeration does no one a benefit.
