[A comment on a video entitled "Heidegger & the Seduction of Fascism"]

4 minutes in and nothing about the seduction of fascism. Just Jews giving their opinion on reality or Heidegger. They just can’t handle that the most influential and brilliant philosopher of our time loved uncle Adolf, which speaks volumes they don’t want to hear, so they obfuscate with solipsism. Communists died protesting, yes, some where students, but most of their organisers where Jews. It’s as if they wished him to be a commie. (((Of course)))?

Agreed that he was very influential, though I doubt that he's anywhere near being the most influential philosopher of our time (That honour either goes to Gottlob Frege or Friedrich Nietzsche). Also agreed that he was the most brilliant (My all-time favorite book is "Being and Time", so yeah.), but I doubt that he ever "loved Hitler". Sure, he was probably a rabid antisemite (I heard that in Black Notebooks he stated that Edmund Husserl never could come to his understanding of phenomenology because he was Jewish), was member of the Nazi party until its disbanding and even later in life he was kind of an asshole (He compared the meat industry to the Holocaust. For fuck's sake.), but he also said in private that being a member of the Nazi party was "The biggest mistake in his life." and some of his lectures were described by his students as being risky because they opposed Nazi ideology on some key issues.

Also, learn what solipsism IS before you call an act solipsistic.

Where did you get that he had the political views of the Nazi party? I thought that his work was apolitical, most of the time at least. And I wouldn't really call him an "irrational mystic" (in Being and Time at least. I haven't really read his other work) because he is describing the average everydayness of the human experience and not a grand unifying theory of everything with lots of magic (like say, Hegel). Not saying that you can't oppose Heidegger's thought (Hell, I oppose it), but using a Godwin and calling him "irrational" without justification are not the way to go.
