"No because the embryo and fetus do NOT have rights"
Only because you slaveowners, I mean, womb lynchers, SAY they have no rights!
"By giving the embryo or fetus rights, you are by default enslaving the host to it."
Telling a woman she can't murder her child is NOT slavery.

You have the right to refuse an abortion. That's a choice, and I know you guys are confused about the word "choice" because you usually mean "Other people need to abide by MY choice". You behave as if the embryo is just a teeny tiny person, but it's just your religion that told you so. I choose to abort.
That religion thingie? It's another choice. I choose not to have that particular religion, and no, my choices are not your choices. I STILL GET TO HAVE MY OWN CHOICE ANYWAY. Get used to it, Crazy.
Those fetuses in Hosea 13:16 had far more right to exist than your 'God'.
Telling your 'God' to fuck off is the same as what abolitionist William Wilberforce allowed the property of slave masters to do: and that son of Hull was an Evangelical Christian.
Go stick your head in a catering-size tub of room temperature Haagen-Dazs, Ice Cream Boy.
Can the embryo testify in court?
Subsidiary question: does an embryo have a completely developed nervous system? A personality? A will? If not, it is not - yet - human. A possibility to have these in the future makes no difference: ever spermatozoid also has that potential and I do not see people clamouring that every sperm is sacred (except as a catchy joke song).
After reading what he was responding to, and assuring that quotations were not just a strawman . . . these are both fundies, and both stupidly holding to one side of a particular argument with no care for how much of it is just wrong and illogical.
Abortion does not equal Slavery
In fact, you are enslaving the woman, somewhat, if you force her to continue the pregnancy.
You behave as if the embryo is just a teeny tiny person
The arguments of abortion-opposers like WGC gives the really strong impression that they really do believe that.
From a fraction of a second after fertilization, there's a really, really small fully formed baby that can think and feel like a born person and is supposed to grow until it's birth size.
If the fetus has all the rights of a human, does that mean we arrest pregnant women who drink or smoke, charge them with abuse?
Do we investigate every miscarriage as a possible homicide?
If a woman dies in childbirth, but the baby survives, do we charge the kid with murder? Or manslaughter?
Children are born, they breathe. When you're pregnant, you're EXPECTING a child.
Telling a woman she's not in charge of her own body IS slavery.
Not donating blood at every possible opportunity might cause the death of people. Not donating is, with your logic, Crazy, to murder children. Actually living breathing children, that is.
Confused?
