San Geronimo:
Scripture isn't always the authority. It depends on what is being discussed. If you're comparing rock strata, scripture isn't going to help you. If you're debating what color to paint the fence, scripture isn't going to help you. You have to be RESPONSIBLE with scripture and not apply it to anything you want to when you're losing an argument with someone.

Amos Moses:
nope ... and AGAIN demonstrating you are not a competent judge of scripture and its lack of authority in your life ........

San Geronimo:
This has got nothing to do with judging scripture, you're not even citing any. Scripture is not the authority when it comes to word definitions. Please go look up the word "rosacea" in scripture and return with the definition.

Amos Moses:
you have no relationship with God as you REJECT the authority of scripture .... you BELIEVE in the "dictionary" .........you said that .... not me putting words in your mouth ........... "If the dictionary says it, I have no basis to argue. Nor do you."
THERE IT IS ................... rejection of scripture as AUTHORITY

San Geronimo:
That's right, when you're discussion word definitions. [The authority is] the dictionary. NOT scripture, you cannot look up words in scripture. Try looking up the word "profiterole" in scripture. That doesn't mean I reject scripture. It means I know how to apply it correctly and not just claim that because it beats out every other book that we call it the champion in any situation.

Amos Moses:
here ... [The Bible] is the ultimate and only authority ......... biblical definitions of many terms TRUMP your so called "definitions"

San Geronimo:
They at unrelated. And no scholarly person would ever dare to suggest that scripture should be used in a defining sense. If you were in a court of law and you got into a debate about a word's definition, the courts would uphold the dictionary definition. Not the Bible (which people swear on). Why do you think that is? Because the courts hate Christians? I don't think so.

Amos Moses:
courts do not use your dictionary ..... so false conflation ..... LEGAL definitions are either written into the laws or they would rely on a LEGAL dictionary such as "BLACKSs law dictionary" ....... and courts DO use the bible in many cases .... and you know it ..........
