Unhinged C-SPAN Caller Says Rape Prevention 'Indoctrination' Destroyed The US Army

A C-SPAN caller on Sunday complained that the U.S. military was guilty of "indoctrination" because service members receive mandatory training on sexual assault prevention.

On Sunday's edition of Washington Journal, host Steve Scully invited calls from people who wanted to comment on the impact of Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court.

In a call from in Georgia, "Kenneth" described himself as "an old retired Army sergeant major."

"And I want to tell you something," Kenneth began. "If you talk [about] the sexual stuff that's going on there [in D.C.] and that court was bad, you ought to see the U.S. Army now."

"Those women in Congress and in the Senate have absolutely destroyed the U.S. Army!" he continued. "Right now, you've got people going to classes like old Chinese Red Book classes. It's a mandatory -- it's mandatory! Everybody at Ft. Gordon for years now go to their 2-hour weekly indoctrination training to stop rape on post."

Kenneth griped that the "classes are mandatory" even though there are "not many" sexual assaults reported on base.

"And if you don't go, your career is over with," he bizarrely added. "And we have a problem now with overweight people afraid to say anything because they are afraid to be charged with being sexual harassers."

"So they don't say anything, they distance themselves from soldiers so that they don't have to come in contact with them," Kenneth concluded.

Jesus Fuck, Kenneth, General Military Training is always mandatory.

Always has been.

Makes me wonder if you really are retired army. I suspect your son is enlisted, and complained to you aboutbthe sexual harrassment training and you went off on a flight of fancy.

I was enlisted during the Tailhook scandal, and watched a 2-star Admiral give a brief on sexual harrassment. He got to the podium and said, "Don't fuck with the bitches." And left.
Strangely, that attitude, and instruction, were not terribly effective. The training has evolved over time.

But if this is indoctrination, then i have also been indoctrinated on line handling, gun safety, security areas, electrical safety, uniform standards, uniform changes, money management, how to avoid scams in tourist season, off-limit areas in Puerto Rico, condoms and the consequences of misuse....

Heaven forbid we teach our solders not to sexually assault each other!

Kenneth just wants to rape, that's all. They think rape is manly and think solders should be rape-machines. *BLAAAUUUGH!*

Good for the Army.

This sounds too specific and incongruous. Almost like "Kenneth" didn't retire, but was retired. And is overweight, I guess?

Doubting Thomas

Everybody at Ft. Gordon for years now go to their 2-hour weekly indoctrination training to stop rape on post.

Aaaaaaand.... what's wrong with that? Maybe if they didn't have a problem with rape in the military they wouldn't have to have these classes.

Complaining about indoctrination in the military is like complaining about speeding at the Indy 500.

Ah, I see, Kenneth's reality chip was not correctly installed at the factory.

You were never enlisted.
You are surely not attending the training.
If you were, you'd know that this is not training to stop rapes on post, it's training to stop all rapes in the Army.

You think that 'not many' rapes is a reason not to have the training, except that Army's stance on rape is Zero Tolerance.

So ANY rapes on post are sufficient for all those fuckers to get their ass into the classrooms.

The Crimson Ghost

If this genetic defective really was in the military, he's proof that the standards for recruitment are ridiculously low.

I also smell a potential dishonorable discharge.

Kenneth: How DARE you expect disciplines in the military!
