Quote# 141154

“Has God not spoken for Himself? Why do Christians share the gospel with others?“

1. "Why do Christians share the gospel of Jesus Christ?"
2. "Do they think they speak for God?"
3. "How do they (Christians) know what God wants?"
4. "Do you Christians know that sharing the gospel Truth is judging others? And it's also hatred and bigotry?"
5. "Why won't those Christians just shut up and let me sin in peace spend eternity separated from God, in peace?"

Christians come across these questions a lot from those who are running from Truth, runnning from God and facing eternity separated from God. Many use Christians as a proxy for their Christophobia and hatred of God and all things holy, others are plain reprobate, but some are just dealing with spiritual conviction and simply responding in their flesh, unlearned. So let's answer, based on scripture, Truth.

(Irrelevant scripture removed)

Don't forget to RECOMMEND. Lets get the Truth out so that Light may shine bright in this dark place and Jesus Christ may be glorified. Even if the discussion is closed, please still RECOMMEND. May God bless you and keep you.

Happy Atheist

You come across these questions a lot, do you?

You are so often asked, "Why won't those Christians just shut up and let me sin in peace spend eternity separated from God, in peace?"

Lots of people ask that, do they?

Points 2, 3, 4 and 5 are especially interesting.

2 - "Do they think they speak for God?" - I think all Christians do, but few ever check themselves on it. And we have reached the point where idiots like her buddies Amos and Doug Bristow,in making statements like "homosexuals are pedophiles" or "pedophilia is a result of gay marriage", despite the fact that none of this stuff gets talked about at all in scripture, think they're speaking on behalf of God. So that's pretty insane.

3 - "How do Christians know what God wants" - again, few Christians ever stop to self-examine about this, and just assume that because they are Christians, God must therefore back them up on their own hatred and prejudices. In scripture, sin is spoken of gravely and that's fine, but then along comes a twisted mind like Doug Bristow's to say that transgender equals sin. Therefore God hates transgenders. That kind of idiotic math is easy enough for a 5-year old to spot, but it begins with a ridiculous assumption. And Doug is an asshole so ridiculous assumptions are a dime a dozen.

4 - "Do you Christians know that sharing the gospel Truth is judging others? And it's also hatred and bigotry?" - This kind of ties in to #3. The gospel is generalized enough that some of these absolute SHITHEADS think that they can read things into it like pedophilia and gay marriage that didn't exist at the time of the Bible's writing. So don't go around claiming it's "sharing the gospel" - it's spreading hate and using the Bible to justify bigotry.

5 - "Why won't those Christians just shut up and let me sin in peace spend eternity separated from God, in peace?" - Note the self-righteous wording of this one. It assumes a sin isn't just being committed but also DEFENDED (seriously, only Lady Checkmate could have written a line like that). And further assumes separation from God - translation, you're not doing it Lady Checkmate's way therefore you're going to hell.

Go back now and re-read the title of her article. Has God not spoken for Himself? No, Lady Checkmate, He hasn't. You've put plenty of your own ugly words and thoughts and beliefs in His mouth though.

Fuck this crazy woman, seriously. She's so messed up and evil. And God help any SERIOUS Christians who expect to get anywhere with her, or Amos, or Doug, or Guest Verified, etc. etc.

1. "Why do Christians share the gospel of Jesus Christ?"

I have no idea. Do they not realize that it's available any time, any where? Haven't they figured out that anybody interested has already heard it?

I'm getting six pieces of "vote for me" junk mail every day, and a robocall approximately once an hour...and I only have one vote to cast. The more they campaign, the less interested I am in hearing any more. The parallels with evangelical Christianity are pretty obvious.

Thinking Allowed

I wish I was surprised that a lot of Christians' god thinks exactly like them.

Doubting Thomas

So basically what you want to do is throw your religion into places where it's not wanted, but you refuse to allow any dissenting opinions on your internet board.

NonProphet

Nobody asks those last two, Lady Checkmate. I know it's your favourite hobby, but can you stop bearing witness for just one day? One hour, even?

"Christians come across these questions a lot "

As well they should.
After 15 years on this "why should we believe? thread you've, none of you given a reasonable answer to any of those, especially the last three.

Here's the clue: REASON
You NEVER supply even a hint of reason, logic or proof. NEVER

You always go to faith and the supposed authority of scripture.

We're not the choir, even many of those gave up on the bullshit. That's why preachers are so hyped up on conservative gov, not because or moral issues, that's a ploy, a wedge, but because they're already pushing for every paycheck to be docked for churches, every welfare program to be church controlled.

Business as usual
Same is it ever was
