Quote# 142327

By The Goddess, I can't wait for males and their filthy abominable dicks to disappear off of the surface of OUR Home, planet Earth. They will NOT be missed one little ass bit. They can go eat each other's disgust phallus in Hell for Eternity and leave Us to Our Divine Yoni worship. Oh this'll be good.

...and now - by renaming Earth 'Mejerr' - make the anime series "Vandread" a documentary.

Oh, this'll be good. [/Doug Piranha-levels of sarcasm]

"Our Divine Yoni worship"

That bit made me want to say G.I.R.L., but looking at the rest of her stuff 'she' seems quite serious, so perhaps I was wrong.

I get a distinct "straw-feminist joke account" vibe from this.

Men belong on planet Earth too. And who's Yoni?

I had no idea the Asari were trying to invade Earth.

@moose

Come to think of it, Moose that old series repsented both TERF and incel extremes so fucking well...

@SpukiKitty I did think that, but she also started a thread about starting a lesbian commune out in the wilds of Canada that is IMO too earnest in its flaming insanity to be a Poe.

(insert 'I could be wrong of course' disclaimer)

"Yoni" is a Sanskrit word meaning "divine feminine energy", and is often used as an euphemism for vulva, or uterus, or female masturbation, or whatever-the-opposite-of-phallic-is imagery. Any use of the word outside of sacred tantric texts or practices likely counts as some form of appropriation.

[Note: a quick check for the opposite of "phallic" suggests that there's no commonly used term; "yonic" gained some currency in the 1990s but hasn't fully caught on, and before that, "vulvic" and "labial" saw occasional use.]

Sanskrit has a word for "divine masculine energy" as well. It's "Lingam". Anyone who attempts to refer to the feminine as divine while also referring to the masculine as infernal while also using Sanskrit terms and couching it in a subtly Christian way is being *really* inappropriate and likely has no idea what the fuck they're talking about.

You know, a year or two ago I would have been more suspicious of a post like this.
But now, after working a bit with local gay history, let me tell you, there are absolutely people like this.
