Quote# 143228

One day this life will be over

Our years on Earth are hard. There is much trouble and sorrow. But the Bible tells us we will suffer in this life. There are many people that have some kind of problems. We are living in a world where people think it's alright to do anything they want whether it's sin or not.

One day this life will be over and the ones that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour will life in a place where there will be no more trouble and sorrow. In this life we enjoy a lot of happiness. Spending time with family and friends brings a lot of joy and happiness.

When we see others going through heart aches and sorrow it's a blessing to be able to encourage them and let them know we care about them and what they are going through.

God has given us a love to share with others. That's one way God uses His children to bring glory and honor to Him.

God uses us to be a help and encouragement to someone that needs compassion and understanding.

"The days of your years are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off and we fly away." Psalm 90:10.

While we are on this earth let's serve God with joy and gladness, because one day this life will be over.

Followed by some bible verse and preaching about how the Christian god can make it better and you feel much better about yourself in how you proselytized to someone. In the meantime, they think you're a nosy ninny that should stay out of their business because you're a stranger who doesn't know what they truly are going through.

Prove it. Share it with the Sentinelese.

Don't let John Allen Chau's corpse showing that his life is over stop you from proving that you're actually more Atheist that we Atheists are every second you're not travelling to the Andaman Islands.

If he can literally walk through the valley of the shadow of Death: and fear no evil, then the only one stopping you from continuing his sharing of your ... 'Love': is you, Pasty Lumbago.

(*Crickets chirp*)

...thought not.

Writing "we will suffer in this life." Isn't that impressive.

Why is it always about bringing honor and glory to God?

One day this life will be over and the ones that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour will

discover that their imaginary friends are just that - imaginary.

Yup, one day this life will be over and we will, once again, not exist.

For some, the years on Earth are hard, for some they are pleasant, for most it's a bit of both.
There is much happiness, love and affection, beauty and anticipation too.

The Bible tells us many stupid things, like not working on the Sabbath, how to plan the selling your daughter into slavery, how to force an adulterous wife to have an abortion, etc. We live in a world where most people DON'T think it's alright to do anything they want, if that thing harms others.

I enjoy a lot of happiness in the current life, and spending time with family and friends (mostly over the internet) brings a lot of joy and happiness.

Yup, God tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves, to treat strangers as neighbors, to care for each other; help the poor, cure the sick, visit the ones in prison, house the homeless. He says a lot of good things. Funny that the most overt Christians refuse to do any of this...

70 is no age today; that's practically still middle-aged. My dad's aunt will be 101 this year.

Why not care for other people for THEIR sake, not to please an absent sky-bully?

If life is such a burden, why don't you just kill yourself now?

@Denizen: Because suicide is murder, and murder is a sin.

One day this life, the only life we are ever going to have, will be over. And you wasted yours worshiping a myth?

A god who uses his human children to bring him glory is a very small god indeed.

But what if the real god is Allah?
