Bad news: now my mom says J.R Tolkien's LOTR is demonic! Huh? He's a Christian for crying out loud! But my mom says that the stuff she saw in the preview are demonic. I have to admit, Nigerians are very superstitious. I agree HP is demonic but LOTR? NO! B4 you know it, she'll start saying Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis is demonic.

Offspring of a Nigerian fundie ??
careful there Booboo, you'll be burned as a witch by her church....seriously...get out now.
Ok Booboo, you disagree with mom about what is demonic - you just need to take a few more steps and realize that just about everything she and your religion teaches you is, let me help you along Booboo, say it with me "bulllllcrrrraaa____" oh Booboo, you were almost there. Lets hope Booboo can take that last step to free thinking
Wait a second. I assume HP is an abbreviation for Harry Potter. You say that Lord of the Rings can't be demonic because the JRR Tolkien was a Christian. But the author of the Harry Potter series is a Christian too -- JK Rowling is a member of the Church of Scotland (in case you, like me, aren't from the UK and -unlike me- either didn't know already or were too lazy to look it up, it's basically Presbyterian). I don't think it's possible for anyone to actually read the books and not realize that the author is Christian. For instance, the books strongly imply the existence of an afterlife, serpents/snakes are used as a symbol of evil, Harry Potter only lived past age one because his mother loved him so much she was willing to lay down her life for him, Harry decides to let Voldemort kill him in order to stop Voldemort from killing everyone he cares about and comes back to life, their are quotes from the New Testament on the graves of Harry's parents and Dumbledore's younger sister, the series is about a central battle between good and evil, it treats generosity towards the poor as a good thing, the rich who look down upon the poor and aren't charitable are bad guys, etc.
The people who say Harry Potter is demonic are nuts. The people who think Lord of the Rings is demonic are even nuttier. And those who think that the Chronicles of Narnia are demonic are utterly insane. So at least your not as nuts as your mother. Not that that's saying much.
Excusez moi, but what the fuck does Nigeria have to do with Harry Potter or Lord Of The Rings? Not that it matters what your mom says, for the ramblings of a deluded and staggeringly stupid idiot certainly do not qualify as "news", you pretentious prick.
You may say that C.S.Lewis is demonic (improbable). I'll counter that by saying that you are moronic (verifiable).
Ironically, Lord of the Rings does, in a sense, contain literally demonic elements. Though Tolkien openly despised allegory, he did recognise that his faith had influenced it, and it doesn't take a particularly strong imagination to draw parallels between Catholic mythology and Tolkien's mythology - the elves are strongly reminiscent of angels, for example, and orcs are a corrupted form of elves - what are demons supposed to be again? Fallen angels, or something of that manner?
Confused?
