Quote# 19604

[On homosexuality...}

One thing I'd like to clear up, however, is that I'm not homophobic. Most of my life people have called me a "crazed homophobe". I am NOT homophobic. I do not fear them, I just do not like them!

Mind you, this is the same guy that tried to go on an anti-Rocky Horror rant.

What he ended up with was over 20 pages of everyone talking about how much they love to do the Time Warp.

Uberbeliever would probably crap himself if he accidentally walked into a gay-friendly venue.

Tiny Bulcher

Well, you ought to fear them, 'cos if any hear you talking like that, they'll likely kick your arse for you.

The Watcher

Oh, that clears everything up. Thanks, asswipe.

Yeah, you're not homophobic except that you are. If you base whether or not you like someone solely upon whom they wish to sleep with, you're not only a homophobe, you're an idiot.

whats not to like, I find most homosexuals to be cool and mellow people who generaly treat other people well.
So my question is WHY dont you like them?

maybe because you are afraid of something?

Doctor Whom

Then people will stop calling me a Christophobe, right? Right? I can dream, can't I?

Ignorant or non-contradiction award. Since nobody forces you to have sex with them, I don´t see where is the problem.

Yeah, that term's kinda irked me, as well. I guess I'll just call you a bigot. Or maybe a mishomosexual.

The closest you've been to a gay man would be when you happened to watch 5 seconds of will and grace.

1/19/2007 6:11:39 PM

Coffee

Ok, ok, calm down. You're not a crazed homophobe, all right? You're just a bigot. Is that better?

Yoda

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate. You're hate of homosexuals, from fear it comes.

1/19/2007 6:34:15 PM

Fed Up

Yes, and why don't you like them? Do you fear 'turning gay'? Perhaps you need to come out of the closet if that's the case.

Has it right, Yoda does!
;^D

I'll admit that the term seems like a misnomer on the surface, but the truth is that hatred of gays IS rooted in xenophobia concerning them -- so the term is appropriate. Be honest enough to recognize your fear.

Okay, you're not a homophobe. You're just a man not confident enough in his sexuality is all.

I believe you. Hell, I believed Nixon when he said, \"I am not a crook.\"

Maybe you shouldn't quibble about semantics until you get punctuatin. I spent a few seoncds trying to figure out what the hell \"life people\" were.

Trovore

Well I don't hate Fundies per se, just everything they believe, think, say, do, and are.

But that's not the same thing as hating them personally.

Yeah right.

1/19/2007 11:52:19 PM

Adrian

That's the same thing.

You don't like them because they are different to you. Sounds homophobic to me.

Witty Name Here

The suffix -phobia means fear, aversion, or hate. And words aren't literally taken from their roots. That's why xenophobia means a hatred of outsiders, and not a fear of the strange.

Can this get an inaugural \"Crazed Homophobes say the Darnedest Things\" Award?

I'm an atheist. I don't hate god, I just don't believe in him.
