To the various idiot millennials and libiots out there, the technology you enjoy today existed in one form or another 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 years ago. Maybe longer. We are currently living in a time when innovation is seen as inventing a gadget that did not exist before, when in actuality, the technology for these gadgets existed many years before. That was my contention when I wrote about REAL breakthrough innovations. An iPhone is not new, technologically speaking. They weren’t even invented by Apple but that’s another debate. What is an iPhone? It’s a radio with a digital camera and a computer on it. Maybe it’s a tiny computer with a digital camera and a radio? Whatever. Those are not innovative inventions anymore. When was the radio invented? (1895.) When was the digital camera invented? (1975.) You see my point? Yeah, that’s right. Google it, bitch.
I have had my eye on technology and medicine for over 40 years. Oh, that iPhone has parts in it from Samsung. That’s why you’re not allowed to open it up and change your own stupid battery. The Apple people thought you might get mad if you saw Korean parts inside of your “American” (actually made in China LOL) cell phone. Just thought you’d like to know that. Fucktard.
And to the fucktard who mentioned plasma TVs, the technology for them goes back to the 1960s. Digital technology and LED tech go back to the 1940s. And the silicon chip was invented in 1961. Many medicines that we have today were all prescription medications from many years ago. Now they are over-the-counter. But because of our silly and outdated patent laws, the drug companies keep re-inventing drugs, but all they are doing is re-hashing old formulas that have existed for decades. As for the internet, it existed in the military at least 50 years ago. And in the early 1980s, I used to read and screen emails that were sent to our office from headquarters in Washington, D.C.
In order for someone to make a statement like the one I made, you have to be like me...know science, be inquisitive, and be in touch with technology. You have to have lived life as a sober person, and paid attention to your surroundings, and taken an active part in getting up to speed with technology.
For those who chose to attack me, you are the ones who are probably the most ignorant people on the planet who didn't take the time to do any research and just used this format to attack someone from the convenience of your keyboard in your parent's basement. The same idiots who try to pass themselves off as worthy or entitled. The same ones who sit around in their underwear all day.
As for aborted babies, it makes one wonder how much larger Generation X would be if there was no abortion. Generation X is smaller than the Boomers and Millennials.
Lots of poor arguments here regarding the validity of abortion, probably based mostly on pure hate of men, children, and breeders. To assume that abortion is a valid option because of the possibility of abuse or neglect is rather absurd. With that logic, you shouldn’t drive in an open convertible because you might get shot in the head. Stupid fuck.
I must say that this medical procedure should only be done to keep the mother alive.
But what about rape and incest? Those are terrible things, but the fetus/baby is innocent. Certainly not a good reason to terminate a pregnancy when you have thousands of couples out there who cannot have children of their own, gay and straight. Adoption would certainly help. Nobody seems to remember that adoption is still another option. And no, it’s not the woman’s body. It’s the body of the fetus. Abortion doesn’t kill the mother. Remember, dumbass? It terminates the fetus so it stops growing and become a full grown human. Abortion shouldn't be birth control. Birth control pills and condoms should.
