the evolutionists know there is a standing moral authority
they seek not to take a part in this moral authority
they seek to supplant existing social orders and set THEMSELVES up as the
authorities of life, with no added social value
I challenge the evil evolutionist cult to state ONE social value that the
theory of evolution adds
they add NO value, this is why they are relegated to cult status
they are jealous power crazed zealots, and their agenda is obvious

Scientists are jealous of fundies. (falls over laughing)
they are jealous power crazed zealots, and their agenda is obvious...
...if you're as delusionally paranoid as Dale here.

There is a standing moral authority. Just not God. We are accountable to each other.
they seek not to take a part in this moral authority
No, SOME of them seek not to take part in YOUR "moral" authority. Remember that a good many Christians are evolutionists.

No, they don't want someone's religion forced on them over scientific fact in school.

Knowledge.

I perfectly agree--Oh, wait, you're talking about evolutionists, not Christians.
they are jealous power crazed zealots, and their agenda is obvious
Again, out of context you could be talking about Christians.

I'll tell you one social value that the theory of evolution adds.
Evolution classes humans as animals - we are genetically related to animals, we are highly related to wild apes, and as such we are no more special or different from them than any other animal.
This is in opposition to creationism, which teaches that humans are special and different from animals - and superior to animals.
Accordingly, creationism explicity teaches that animals (and the rest of the earth for that matter) are for us to use as we please - we can use them, abuse them, kill them, etc. however we see fit. And we can do so as well with the rest of the earth - because we're "superior" we have the "God-given" (read: self-appropriated) right to do as we please.
Evolution does not exlicitly teach that this is wrong, but the fact that evolution ties us to the rest of the animal kingdom tells us we are not special, and that other animals (and the rest of the earth for that matter) is not entirely ours to do with as we please. It removes the self-appropriated status of "special and different" and thus removes the belief that God has given us free reign to do with the earth whatever we want.
And we are now learning all the different ways in which the "humans are the supreme creation" belief has given rise to policies and practices that directly threaten our own continued existence. That right there shows that the creationist beleif is morally inferior.
Your contradictory, sadistic, peophilic rapist (and rape apologist, and rape enabler, and incest-lover) of a genocidal hypocritical deity you worship is a "moral authority" ?
Sure. Definite authority on the chaotic-evil side of the compass...
Evolutionary theory is a set of scientific statements about how the natural world works, It is not a moral system or a religion.
Evolution does however, help us to understand that we are essentially the same as the animals, and therefore it suggests a moral injunction to treat animals with respect and care.
Oh yes, and some theists believe in evolution, fyi.
Evolution explains how things are, not how they should be. It does not provide a moral, ethical framework.
I'm curious to hear how "Cuz God said so!" is a better moral guide, though...

And I challenge teh ebbil physicist cult to state ONE social value spectroscopy adds.
And I challenge all the wicked mathematicians to state ONE social value calculus adds.
Yeah. So let's just scrap this whole "reality" thing and go out for beer.
The standing moral authority are the legislative and the judiciary government, and the police system.
We all have to take part in following the laws, or we will, like "Dr" Hovind, end up in jail.
The existing social orders ARE "evolutionistic", as they have been evolving along with us humans. Very few species can survive without caring for their fellow creatures.
The ToE is a description of a natural process. Like Theory of Gravity, it adds no social values. Evolution, however, has given us humans empathy, kindness and love.
Evolution is the strongest theory around, it's not a cult, it's everywhere in society; in government, in medicine, in schools.
"We" already have the power, and the only agenda is to promote the human species, and all the species we are depending on to stay alive.
Firstly, you're another idiot claiming that atheists really know there's a god. They don't.
Secondly, evolution and atheism aren't related. There are quite a lot of theists who accept evolution (such as the RCC or myself).
Thirdly, no-one has ever claimed that evolution adds social values. It's a scientific theory, not a belief system.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
